Thanks. My good news shall come very very soon in Jesus name.

Amen.

We have a very similar story. I remember you took a leap of faith by dropping your timeline before approval and I followed suit.

My prayer is that every applicant shall get speedy positive response. This good feeling shall go round in Jesus Mighty name. I am specially rooting for Teemenzo, Scott99tish and KellyKk.

Quick questions guys;
(1) Should I send wifey's passport or wait a little for my son's PPR to arrive?

(2) She is supposed to start studies by 6th of May 2022, but we have deferred to September, 2022 for some reasons. At what point do I inform IRCC of the deferral?

With the right contact of an officer working at Police Headquarters at Alagbon, you can obtain a PCC without being present in the country. All documents will be forwarded to you electronically for you to fill and scan it back to them.

It will end in praise

Dear Makano,
Please I need clarification on something.
The college I am applying to does not need me to prove my proficiency in English because I already possess a degree.
But I want to also ask if ielts or any English test is compulsory when applying for a study permit, after I must have gotten admission?
Thanks in advance...

I am January 15th applicant. The last update on my account was biometric completed. There was no new message thereafter. Meanwhile, I did upfront medical assessment day before yesterday (16th Feb. 2022) and I had subsequently raised web form to inform IRCC of the development. Let us keep our fingers cross. Everything will surely end in praise.

Chechem,

While you wait for Makano response...

You do not need IELTS or Any English Test to apply for a study permit.

Good news guys, my PPR just came in at 7:46am this morning. It can only be God, I am still in shock. My story is a special one, my Bachelors is Law, I have an LLB, BL (Law School), and Masters in International Business, but I applied for Diploma, not even Post Graduate Diploma, but Diploma in Digital Business Management. I wasn't even aware of this forum when I applied in September, I just followed a YouTuber (Noel Abingwa) and learnt the steps and documents needed when applying for my visa through one of his Videos. I contacted him and he was kind enough to share his statement of purpose/ letter of explanation with me. As I started getting anxious, I decided to join this forum 30th December and it was so encouraging because I kept getting alot of support, more especially from @Makano.

I got this message below from Honourable Sean Fraser, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship's Office, on the 18th of February 2022

IRCC records confirm that your application was received on September 6, 2021, and is being processed at the Canadian visa office in Nairobi. Criminality checks and medical examination results are passed, however, further review is required before an eligibility decision is made. This means that the case is no longer straightforward and will, in most situations, lead to additional delays in processing. Once a decision has been made, officers will be in a position to determine next steps in processing

Thank you for answering my questions, more especially in the past two days after the message I got above.

@Makano encouraged me that "If truly you are truthful with your application and you didn't hide any information from them, then expect a positive decision from them"

Thank you @PatrickOkunima @olasubomy @mrprolifik @VIKKYIFE @Teemenzo @Time2soar1 @Predator188 who helped give me answers to my posts as well.

I even ordered for GCMS notes on the 4th of January but its still not out.

My Time Line

Submission/AOR 6th September 2021
Medicals Passed 25th October 2021
1st Ghost update November (Not sure of exact date)
2nd Ghost update 24th January 2022
3rd Ghost update 19th February 2022
Passport Request 21st February 2022

My application took a total of 168 days , 5months, 15 days. I DID NOT USE AN AGENT

God did it for me. I cannot thank God enough. It can only be God

Good morning

Please when did you raise your Form A?

Afolavid:

Add more money to the account, that will be sufficient for disbursement, i paid $9292 CAD yesterday which was converted to $7464 USD @ 419/$, that should give you an estimate of what amount you should fund your account with. Also, click on help on the website to see the process for form A amendment and contact your bank, that way your submission will be reviewed, no need to start over again.

SOP is your mouthpiece to defend your reasons for wanting to study so so so course in canada.

Theres no physical visa interviews so yes, you wil need that to apply for a study permit.

Thanks Bro. Congrats once again. Mine will come before this month end in Jesus name.

NorthernshoreTS:
My beautiful people. I feel so blessed and privileged to have joined this forum early enough. Right from the first stage of application for admission to the final process of visa application, I was guided, tutored and advised by so many wonderful and selfless people on this forum. Every single thing I know today about the Canadian study application process, I learnt from here.
This application is actually for my wife who is a first time applicant but I handled the entire process. Yes, there were times we were tempted to let an agent handle the application but the money that was being quoted was a bit too much for us so we opted out and decided to venture into the unknown by handling the application ourselves. I give God all the glory and honor for it has ended in extraordinary praise.
We utilized the NEW PORTAL for the application. I highly recommend using the new portal, it seems to be somewhat faster than using the regular gckey. Our timeline is highlighted below and please note we DIDNT pay any school fees

I’m actually a novice
It’s not a must your sponsor is related to you but Close ties sponsorship are mostly approved
But from what I’ve heard and seen on nairaland most third party sponsorship are rarely approved .nevertheless that doesn’t mean they have never approved non related sponsored application
I’ve read a company sponsorship that was approved but it’s how you package the application
Stating why the person wants to sponsor, I can’t really say on the documents for you to submit but you can check the documents I submitted
dbeautyful:
Congrats to you

Please, must my sponsor be related to me?
The sponsor lives and runs his company in the UK. What documents would I require of him to provide?

Will appreciate your kind feedback.

I just received my third Ghost Update this morning, my second update was when I bombarded them to update my medical.

Today, I noticed that with the ghost update, my medical that was previously updated as passed went back to "You do not need Medical". Although, the upfront medical expired last two weeks.

What does this mean, my people?
