How long does it take to process tourist visa these days?

15 WD from day of biometrics (standard application)
5Wd for priority application from day of biometrics.
But delays could also happen. Though, they are consistently working to conclude applications within normal time-frame.

Please someone help, im about putting in for my application, my friend said i can submit only personal account but i want to be sure, and again my husband uses his personal account attimes to receive business money ,thats why i am asking if i can be the sponsor ro avoid unexplainable funds.

Please I asked if a wife's statement of account can be used to sponsor both husband and wife
Can one present only personal statement of account or must it be both personal and business statement of account

Has anyone here even done question 1

this refusal letter is veeeeeeeeeery detailed. Very easy to understand
1. You said he is going to visit his uncle for 14 days. No evidence the person is his uncle. No proof there is any form of relationship between the two people. No proof the supposed uncle is legal in the UK, no documentary nothing submitted to prove any of these otherwise.
2. No proof that this uncle will provide accommodation or care or that he will be covered.
3. Why is he travelling alone? A 15 yr old. Say he is going for visit to uncle. Why alone? You say you will be busy with business- what business? No proof of your business, that your business is operational and functional
3. You say he is a student in Nigeria. No proof he is a student.
4. The whole trip will be funded by 3rd party. What happens if things go wrong as they have no idea about his own financial situation in Nigeria
5. You say you will sponsor the trip with 2000 pounds, you provided bank statement with 400,000 naira. Not even enough to cover trip cost
Ma it looks like the ECO thinks you intend on shipping this boy to the UK, after a while he will stay and then try to become legal as he was born in the UK. There is no proof to suggest to eco that this is not the plan as the whole thing looks suspicious to the ECO.
Because nothing suggests there is true intention to visit and looks fishy that you are sending off your son to visit an uncle which you can not prove relationship to.
Please go back to the drawing table and sort out the true intention of this trip as everything has been doubted and looks suspicious coupled with lack of proofs

Good day,
What supporting documents did you submit with your child's application ie;
1. Students admission letter, academic records and promotion to next academic year, is your child's school on vacation and did you include this in his application?
2. Did you submit a positive bank statement to show your financial capabilities, a CAC of your businesses that is active on the cac.ng.gov, or as such notes stated in the refusal letter from the ECO,
3. What supporting documents did his uncle provide him with? ILR, passport, payslips, bank statement, p60?
4. In addressing concerns of child welfare and well-being, did you and the boy's dad present a letter of consent and assure the ecos of the minor's well-being and safety before, during and for a safe return to Nigeria after his trip?
Nothing to be worried and disturbed on about, is either been few errors from the eco or you(the mother) whilst you were filling out your child's application and supportingdocumentsprovided, all that needs to be done is correct them errors and reapply. There's absolutely nothing wrong sending your child for vacation to his uncle if you can meet all necessary requirements for such visit. His uncle is no witch or "village people" that would witch or lynch him. Minors are mostly dependents and as such most of their day to day needs are met by their parents and third-parties(guardians, relatives and etc), i don't see what is illegal and apologetic about that to be honest. So yes, again nothing criminal or fishy about sending a child to an uncle or aunt for a nice time. Absolutely nothing.
I refuse to believe most of those were lacking based on your travel history you have written. But would like to know if you do not mind me asking.
Thanks

Good evening,

Started the application for my dependants and on the final stage, we are to supply visa expiry date ,does this mean they can't finish their application until my visa is out or what....I am applying for them separately and I was very careful not to input any wrong answer.

I can't proceed without supplying the visa expiry date

Everyone of them suppose to have GSW number I think. For mine, we did it together as a family and everyone has the application form. Your visa do not need to be out. It depends on the information you provided. Is this skilled worker visa form?

Hi everyone
Please has anyone applied for transit visa to enable them travel with AirFrance to the UK?
What’s the cost benefit analysis of applying for the transit visa?
Would you recommend?
Planning a trip in April but other airlines are too expensive safe for Turkish Airlines (but I didn’t enjoy their inflight experience in the past).

wow glad to see this Got denied twice am tired of reapplying self

Awelewa89:
Posting my success story to inspire someone. between 2012 and 15, I got denied UK visa 4x for reasons ranging from unexplained deposits to unverifiable income etc. mind you, I was gainfully employed and had proofs etc. by 2018, I had visited 6 other countries and retried the UK, this time, I got a visa and used twice. in 2019, I applied for a 2year visa and visited 6 more times as well as 6 other countries including France and Amsterdam. February 2nd, I applied for a 10year visa and I just got my passport delivered via courier. it was approved.
here are a list of documents I uploaded,

1. Employment Offer, Promotion Letter and Salary Review
2. ID card, Tax Card, NIN Slip
3. Payslips
4. Account Statement with less the 2m as well as investment account with over 5m.
5. Letter of introduction from office
6. Previously Issued visas
7. Covid vaccination card
8. Hotel Booking etc

Wishing everyone applying in future good success.x

Hey guys, how does getting a police report at the UK embassy work? For someone who attended university in the UK back in the 1970s.

Hi everyone, I've just signed up to ask question as a silent reader, i want to visit the UK for 7 days as a tourist, my question is does opening balance matter because I made a huge withdrawal in my bank account 6 months?

My opening balance is 100k and I earn 350k monthly and spend 50k monthly.

I need your advise. Thanks.

Hello guys,

Please with respect to someone like me who owns a business like this person who was denied visa stating, that the person did not explain how the business will operate in his/her absence.

Do I necessarily have to explain how my business will operate in the 10 days I will be away?

it depends. Is this a salaried job you are doing at the moment and how long have you been there for? If it will make you feel nervous, then wait sometime. You dnt have to apply with an opening bal of 100k reflecting on your statement if nervous.
There is never ever a need to rush.

feel feee to explain it. However note that, the way the business will run is not the only reason the application was refused, the remaining reasons are stated therein.

I have been on this for the past 6days... practically tired....

I just need a guide. I feel I must be getting something wrong.
What I need to achieve by end of today.

1. My application as main applicant
2. My two dependants application ( wife and daughter)

1. Maybe I do not need to input my GSW in their application.
2. Why is my application saying I don't have dependants.
3. Why is there application requesting for visa expiry date.

It's annoying already.

Spent all night on this application...God help jare.

Yes ..it's a skilled worker visa form...

So sorry, I am just seeing this. Have you been able to made any headway?

You are definitely doing something wrong.
How are you filling the application? Please calm down . Each application needs to come with their own GWF. How you will link the application is when asked some question relating to dependant .
For example when I was filling mine, I put my spouse name , parent details and my kids as dependent where it’s asked.

My spouse GWF and for each children are different but all the information are the same.

Please let me know where you are having issue.

The US embassy is. He lived in the UK in the 1970s for around 3 years for university. Once you have lived in another country for over 6 months, you must provide a police report.

Please, I am looking to fly Royal Air Maroc to the UK in a couple of weeks and I have got questions.

1. I'm going on a Tier 1 Visa, do I need a return ticket or am I okay with one-way?
2. Do I need to do a covid-19 test? PS I am fully vaxxed + booster jab.
3. Is Royal Air Maroc a good airline? I have seen bad reports about it here on nairaland, but most of it are from few years ago.

Thanks
Thanks
