Terms of Trade have to be identified and agreed upon, it also may not be as economically viable to sell to countries / regions located farther areas geographically, countries will need to determine their balance of trade to determine if it may cause deficits down the line, whole regions may also be hesitant especially if they have more to lose from the West and the EU by aligning themselves to "the enemy" etc.
At the end of the day, Russia may equally lose

Russia could make the prices insanely expensive or just simply cut supply to Europe, causing a massive economic problem for all of Europe. Russia wouldn't be the only one to suffer big economic problems.

Just imagine how unreasonable you can be, who are they going to supply it to, when the whole of Europe and America is not buying, or are they going to drink it and then convert it to money?

It is not a threat. Russia is not that rich no matter the noise they make, most of their expenditure are through loans and crude oil and it is invested more on weaponry, just exactly the same thing Adolf Hitler did that backfired, now just imagine if the whole of Europe and America stop buying their crude and stop borrowing them money what next for Russia.

I am looking at UK banning Roman Abrahamovich and freezing his asset and I'm think, these westerners don't really know anything. This is someone that came to your country and invested heavily, employed people, make your economy better and is not even a political appointee.

This will be a wake up sign to other wealthy investors to start looking elsewhere and the will. It may sweet then at the moment (of course never Chelsea or its staff), they will shake their heads, patting themselves they have achieved something. But the long term effects is, eventually, other wealthy potential investors will move elsewhere to avoid these sorts of things from happening. At the end, UK loses.

The world isn't going green anytime soon. The next 50 years, we will still depend on fossil fuel. Biden that claimed he will ban fossil fuel gave out more than 3000 oil licence (more than what trump ever gave).
