Was Jackson nominated to favour/protect the blacks or to uphold the constitution of the United States of America?

I thought the judiciary in a democratic setting is there to interpret the laws (in fairness and without favour to anyone) that was established by the legislative and executive arms?

Now you see that the division in America is not from one one party alone but from everyone, including the populace and us supporting them from this distance.

These days, we see presidents nominate judges that can help their prosecutors win cases and to favour their administration (in case they get to the courts) even if what they are proposing is somewhat unpopular at the time.

If this is not the death preparation of the patriotism in America and democracy in general, then I wonder what it is.

NATO agreed in 1990 or 91 not to expand eastward. there is a time russia will snap.
In Dec 21 Russia sent the US and NATO a proposals for security guarantees. it included demands that NATO agree not to expand into former Soviet Republics and that the military situation should return to what it was at the time of the signing of the NATO-Russia Founding Act in May 1997. At the end of January, Washington and Brussels handed over to Moscow their written responses, from which it follows that the West would not make concessions that were fundamental for Russia.

I don't support Russia, But NATO is the aggressor here and russia is reacting. too bad Ukrainians are the ones paying the prize. If Ukraine have sense, they should have tried to remain Neutral instead of always stating they want to join NATO. that in itself is provocation. When Georgia behave that way they were invaded
