Where I live on the mainland when there is somewhere you can never suspect I'd be.

I'm even having a double mind now with my current build and thinking of selling the current build while starting something "simple" somewhere else.

I chose the current environment due to its "hidden" nature.

When you're in Rome......

I didn't get a car for a very long time and when I did, got something "simple". When I changed it later, it was with another simple ride. Nothing fancy, not because of anything but for the country/time we live in.

I quiet understand all that, but isn't it true that once we all retire and move back we want to relax and enjoy the fruit of our labor? I tell you, the 3 cities mentioned in the story Ikoyi, VI, Lekki, these are the better side of town! Not Ajegunle!!! No!!!
Somebody said earlier, anything can happen anywhere, while I do not dispute that, the chances of it happening in some areas in the US is very slim! for example in my neighborhood in MD its middle class, you can leave your door open all night and for days nothing will happen, my neighbors have a key to my house and I have theirs, we watch out for each other. This I don't see happening in Nigeria anymore, and that was the case when I was growing up there!

That's why i have hope for Nigeria. When the rich realize that the Community MUST grow too for them to enjoy their "largey"; they will invest in the country instead of the " I don't care attitude" we currently have. The biggest Issue killing Nigeria in my view is that we all look elsewhere as soon as we make small money in Nigeria. We take our family abroad; which is not a bad thing; but fail to keep developing what we left behind. "MY family is save now, who cares about what happens in Nigeria"

Somehow somehow sha, you go find yourself for that Naija you left for the less Exposed Agberos and wonder why thing are not improving. Most of our brains are outside serving another man's land hard. We are the BEST of our people, that's the FACT!!! God have giving us the chance to see the rest of the Developed Nation for a reason; we must bring that back and help the nation by investing and educating our brothers and sisters. Its tough but thats the only way. POOR MAN No dey go OBODO Oyinbo...it cost someone a lot to relocate.

If all our Big Man have their family for Nigeria, i bet you that our country will be heaven, but the Oyinbo knows what they are doing when they offer our Leaders the opportunity to take their children abroad for Education, they basically break our back and disconnect our leader's interest in the country. Why should they care when they are going to most likely be the last generation of Nigerian Theie interest now is to deplete the Treasury and make their family comfortable abroad at the expense of those less privileged left behind. That is why we are where we are today. God go sha help us reverse this madness somehow.

Probably. But nobody I know here ever applied it again after 5years from the initial application.
I have never had to re-applly it myself.

I see it as a maintenance cost...take off the ceiling or better still create a maintenance entrance/exit during the build to accomodate this and other such repairs

They are cheap bikes compared to those of others. The idea is not about not having stuff. The idea is to not to show opulence or be the King Kong of the area.

Never thought or wanted to leave nija , am an advocate for nija despite all the Chaos and madness and frustration . Opportunities abound in nija , I know that first hand as someone doing business and involved in manufacturing for the last 24 years . Will have close to 500 people on our books . We all want nija to be better and for most of the people to come out of poverty like it happened in china and is happening gradually in india and most of Asia , but are we doing the right thing and doing it fast ? NO . We have a long way to go . All my crew are here by the way , i enjoy best of both worlds by Gods grace , when I need a holiday I go for vacation ,and there is pretty much no where I have not been and regularly . We die here . Let everybody do what pays them and stay where they Have the most fulfillment in the final analysis

True sir. When I was doing my roofing, I consulted an old friend who is into construction and he said to me;
There are woods from Taraba that if you cut a piece and drop it into termites or anthill they will all abandon that space. But it comes with a premium price tag.

My brother don’t just go near that Cameron roofing sheet it’s not good at all, after 2-3yrs you will regret using it. Unless if the building is just temporary one that just need shelter, even if so you still have many options to this I.e
-old sink pan
-short bundle Low cost Aluminum

The house I built with it since 2015 is still in good shape.
