Putin simply told them Ukraine if they still pursue their interest in joining NATO, it will cause national threats to their country, and if that happens, they will be consequences. Crimea is inhabited by Russians. Before Crimea was annexed, why did the west orchestrate a coup to topple the Ukrainian president in 2014? Why should Russia force a sovereign nation to do it's bidding. Every country has its objectives and do what will favor them.

Putin will lose this war even if he succeeded in capturing Ukraine, because other neighboring countries like Finland, Sweden, Bulgaria etc are now thinking of joining NATO to gain protection against Russia aggression which they know Putin will not stop until he conquered them all.

You can't bring back a union by forcing countries in that manner.

30 countries formed NATO today and all countries joined in willingly through America's persuasion. That's how it should be.

The US is compelling them to do it or face sanctions..

While most of those decisions does not benefit any of those countries militarily ...



Since you claim to know history, for the most part of a 1000 years, Russia have had to go to war to defend most of these European countries while Russia came under attack so many times being invaded.


The US purposely change the rules based system to overthrow Ukraine legitimate govt and install a puppet that will allow them place missiles on Ukrainian soil just like they've done in Poland and Romania... In most cases, Russia have redrawn untill now when they drew the red line.

The US cannot believe their eyes that Russia is changing the rules base system and forcing them to react.

From this point onwards, you're going to see a more assertive Russia...
