Last, last your parents are in Nigeria.
And after talking shit on nairaland, you go home drink garri and ground nut, you can't travel more than 5 kilometers for fear of bandits, kidnappers, or armed robbery or ritualist.

You don't have light, heat dey hammer you like hell, meanwhile the leaders you defend on nairaland are stealing your commonwealth, sending their children abroad while you wallow in the poverty capital of the world.

If your situation is not a definition of a shithole, then tell me what is.

post doesn't make sense. So, wjat would you say of hose who travelled there for studies to avoid ASUU's regular strike caused by our uncaring government who had destroyed virtually everything, including our education, which they once enjoyed for free? They left Nigeria to avoid incessant strike which often makes students who are supposed to finish in 4 years to end up rounding off in 7 years. If you had the opportunity, I'm sure you'd embrace studying abroad too

I agree.

But your parents are right in it.

The very centre of it , your PARENTS are in it.

The idea you are selling is that Ukraine is better to be in than Nigeria.

Yet at the point of war, one cannot get out of the country.

The idea you are selling is that whatever Britain did was acceptable but Nigeria doing the same isn't.

At the same time, you are suggesting it is easier for a Briton to spirit himself out of this situation but not a Nigerian cannot.
You said Ukraine is better than Nigeria, I didn’t.

Poland is next door to Ukraine and British citizens don’t need visas to enter but Nigerians do. You’re trying to compare Britain to Nigeria but British citizens aren’t the ones stranded and having issues. British citizens are safe and warm, watching the war on the news.

So what you’re saying is that unlike every other country in the world, Nigeria has no responsibility to its citizens abroad. What is the purpose of having embassies in other countries?
I'm saying Nigeria did like over 150 countries of the world.

Few if any country, evacuated its citizens from Ukraine.

You’re trying to justify the Nigerian government failing its citizens by bringing other countries into it but we don’t see those other countries citizens stranded and crying now do we?
The thread topic is stranded Nigerians, stick to it.

Those that died fighting to better their home(Nigeria), what did they gain? The soldiers and other security officials that risk their lives day and night to fight Boko haram and other insecurities in Nigeria, what did they gain? Are they not being owed salaries/pensions for months and even years? Are you not aware that some of them are homeless and even begging to survive?? Does that not show that the labors of our past heroes is in vain? When they die, do their families get compensated with good money or jobs? What tangible thing have they gained from the Nigerian government??

I can confidently assure you that the Ukrainian government will reward any Nigerian(s) that picks up arms to defend Ukraine in a time like this. Even if they die in this battle, the Ukrainian government will make sure to extend certain benefits to their families back home. The Ukrainian government will even take care of them waaaaaaay better than the Nigerian government will ever do. What they will benefit from the Ukrainian government in a day, I'm sure the Nigerian government will not give them in a decade.
We wish them safety anywhere they are, either in Nigeria or Ukraine.
baba, this is not true. Any Nigerian that fights in Ukraine does so at his or her own risk. Eastern European countries do not give a f-ck about you, black man. The earlier you know that, the better for you.

Firstly this is war time, not a time for lame jokes, and it's somewhat obvious you're angry cause you don't have the available means to leave Nigeria, so you're mad at those that are able to. Were you thinking buhari's 30k per month will take you out of Nigeria?
Secondly, those folks are displaying the flag as a means of identifying themselves as foreigners, and it should also be a slap to the face of the Nigerian government.
Why? Because we've been getting hints of this ongoing war for several months now; a sensible and proactive government would have made plans to evacuate its citizens in case of situations like this, after all it's their duty and that's why we have the Minister of foreign affairs. Other countries are already evacuating their citizens and even giving the citizens relief materials that will last for months. But it's obvious this present Nigerian government is useless, they have no tangible plans to evacuate, provide shelter or even relief materials for its citizens(Nigerians). Smh
Thank you dear! You know some people are just born sadists!

Idiotic post. That they are waving a flag don't mean shit. They are still Nigerians wether they ran away or not... They are Nigerian citizens and i don't think they are denying that. But the country is being made useless by your darling corrupt politicians, yet you are here foaming in the mouth as if you are living such a great life here in Nigeria. I wonder when some of you will take your head out of your anus and start telling yourself the truth. The politicians have raped the country to coma, let's show them by our talks and actions, but you idiots chose to suck up to them as if you are very happy living here.... stfu! The tone of your post smells of jealousy and anger. There is nothing wrong for someone to leave a good for nothing place to another place that he feels is better if he doesn't have the power to make that place better for him.

I'm seeing a lot of jealousy from Nigerians on Nigerians in diaspora. That you have not been able to leave doesn't mean you should hate on those that are privileged to leave. And many of you have even gone as far as blaming them for being caught up in a foreign country like coming back to Nigeria from Ukraine is easy. Even supporting the racist Ukrainians.

SHame on you all!!!

Stop babbling, show us 1 single country that evacuated the citizens out of Ukraine.

Love your country peace or war instead of rubbishing your country every day, abandon your country instead of fighting to make it better, but after a small problem where you japa to, you start crying and begging the same country you abandon to rescue you? If Nigeria is so useless then why are you begging the useless country to rescue you..?

You don't pick and choose when to love and abandon your country, you are all users and unpatriotic anti-Nigerian elements. You don't care or give a shitt@ about Nigeria.
Evacuation in war is not dividend of democracy. You want countries to advertise Evacuations in CNN and BBC ?

Patriotism is not Blindness.
I am a Nigerian..., but this government is almost a failed government. They still have 1yr to prove us wrong.
