You guys are right price is king, but the MA would just be for extra confirmation especially for take profit levels and most times spot reversals on the higher time frames. Abeg I need my brain for other activities. cheesy

@samfelly please how can I get leaderboard for the new competition??
Sorry, I have been busy since.

Leaderboard? Are u not in the Competition? Well, if you are not in the Competition, you can't view the leaderboard o

Modified: I thought boss Infofirst added the setting where the competiton is only visible to participants only, but turned out it is not - anybody can view it
Re: Forex Trade Alerts: Season 22 by abham: 8:41pm On Feb 26, 2022
I’m still battling with limit orders though and most times, my SL are not wide enough to accommodate pullbacks so I get stopped out.

I wish you the best in your endeavours.

Trying to remain serious with academics and trading is quite difficult, TBH. I only have enough time for one.

Recently I stopped using pending orders and started waiting for reversal patterns like @sa.intfaculty does. it's quite stressful but isn't that the cost of learning? cheesy

I submitted to time to learn and this year, we are learning to kick some FTMO a$$ grin

If anyone wants to trade forex profitably you shouldn't trade with indicators not even EMA

By who? Price action with indicator like MA is a bae for me. From my own point of view. If you are thinking there is a best way to trade market that's not been fair. It is a funny thing that some of us have not backtest about 300 trades on a strategy to know it doesn't work. We just conclude base on what we see online and few wins and loses we see on the chart. Be it a strategy is indicator based or price action I cant conclude it works or it doesn't work unless I backtest it on 5 years of data at least. Wetin I know self

Still a humble learner

That's the major problem with newbies. they are sold the idea of get rich quick, buy high and sell low. They only realize it after enough margin call{ Village people calling}.

Price action is king...but I know a lot of folks making consistent profits with that same Ema you're condemning..mind you I don't trade with moving averages

Waiting for reversal patterns before taking a trade is a great, though conservative way of trading but this has improved on my trade result. On Friday GU, waited for price do drop into my poi, looked out for reversal patterns before taking the trade. If I had place a sell limit at the opening/beginning of the poi, my sl would have been taking out before price dropped. U see how price printed my reversal pattern, both bos/Choch were formed on lower TF and it was a good trade.
I meant M pattern in the call-out on d pic

Re: Forex Trade Alerts: Season 22 by VeeVeeMyLuv(f): 9:30am On Feb 27, 2022
What happened here?

Price Action (the big candles indicated for continuation of buy or sell, then it turned back at those support and resistance levels. I think fundamental was responsible.

This thing occur more frequently in 4h (maybe it because I look at this TF most times though).

kumulus:
It would appear EG has now printed the anticipated weekly low (except there are plans for a shakeout), dropping over 170+pips. Although it did reprice the wick as projected, it failed to pick up my order, missing by a few. I'll look to find re-entry on subsequent reactions if they present.

*** I'd like to see GU takeout 1.36900 and make 1.37 before rolling downhill so EG might as well see that manipulation as suspected or maybe just range while GU does it's thing.

However it does, my projection is a bearish GBP going into the second quarter when we would likely see a shift in sentiment between buyers and sellers.

**** Thankfully I caught EG on a second account because I'd reframed a possible propulsion play off the 15m TF
EURGBP

....and it delivers just before Friday as projected Now that a potentially strong low had been priced in, validated by the hourly break of structure to the upside, we can anticipate a RTO to the source that took liquidity. Price would likely print this PA by Tuesday London/New York session. We patiently await the Engine

Re: Forex Trade Alerts: Season 22 by kumulus(m): 3:27pm On Feb 27, 2022
EURUSD
EU just filled a weekly volume imbalance and rose sharply, second time price would reject from this zone indicating there's an absorption of orders at this level. Might be the mid-phases of accumulation. PA on the Fiber looks a little dicey but combining understanding of previous weeks liquidity and intra structure indicates we might see a short-lived buying into the 1.14350 - 1.14800 price zone before seeing impulsive shorting into a more discount bullish array where sufficient buy orders are awaiting pairing into the market.

It even happens on daily TF.

Price action is one part of the puzzle, you needed to know the volume of that pinbar to get a clearer picture.

The volume in your MT4 only gives tick values i.e. the number of trades, and not actual volume i.e. the size of the trades that occured in that time period.

Tick volume is not the best, but better than nothing. Then actual volume is a fee-for-service feature because collating the data to show it is quite the task
