Will Russian want to destroy Ukraine? I don't think so

But if the rebels hold from Kharkiv to Mauripol then they create a buffer for Russia which should make Ukraine's border to Russia non existent.

I expected Donesk and Lugansk rebels going northwest to Kiev but rather what happened was that
1. Russian used missiles everywhere and attacked from multiple fronts even using paratroopers to the West of Kiev to block off reinforcements ('an attack everywhere is an attack no where' Sun Tzu art of war)
2. Russia used the attack everywhere as a smokescreen to mask their original objective
3. They used the attack everywhere to neutralize Ukraine military taking out about 30 command post effectively destroying Ukraine military capabilities.
4. They used the attacks everywhere to intercept first arms shipment coming from Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. The javelin light anti armor missiles that Ukraine was expecting. This is the Reason why Nato, EU is on a frenzy to restock and re arm Ukraine with Germany sending 1000 anti armor defense weapons
5. Reinforcements and resupply will not come by air (there's a fear that Russia currently controls the Ukrainian air space) but by land mostly through borders with Nato countries
6. The separatist of Lugansk and donesk has gained massive territories in the last 4 days but it's funny how they are advancing southwards and northwards respectively instead of marching northwest to Kiev or a general westward movement.

If and when they sieze Kharkiv and Mauripol then Ukraine has nothing to fight for anymore and Russia is safe from nato incursion, at least through Ukraine

What happens to diplomacy and negotiation? Why cant Putin meet with his brotherly country and make the see reasons why they to be in alignment and not with the west. The comedian president who the western media is pushing to destruction has no brain. Impose sanctions on Russian oil and gas and see their economy cripple but that would make the price of oil soar. From look of things Russia is not even fighting them they just occupy the new independent regions where Ukraine has been carrying her atrocities against her own citizen for more than 8 years. Between Russian and Ukraine, who should cry for help. On the military space, Ukraine is no match and normally Russia should have completed his mission but they are finding it difficult already.

It is a normal for the weaker once to cry for help, while still doing the little they can to protect them selves. It is also normal for the defender to cry.

But as the second recognise military power in the world (Russia), who went attacking because he thought he would just overrun them overnight, he came with another country (Chenchen), and there is every reason to also believe that Belarus are also assisting him (even though it is not official yet). He has also put his nuclear asset on the highest alert, obvious due to frustration; all these are tears, from a suppose world power... Howbeit, overestimated himself.

It is now even worse that other countries are now seeing Putin for what he his (overrated), that even smaller countries who were too afraid to sanction or speak against him, are now sanctioning and castigating him.

Mind you, the more the war linger, the more smaller nation grow confidence against Russia, because, initially many nations actually thought that Russia will go there a d immediately overrun Ukraine, now that the war has expose his might, many nations will start taking Russia for granted. They will start calling his bluff.

Finland and Sweden are already considering joining NATO, which was never before. Germany has already increased their military budget by over 100billion dollars because of this war; which anyone least expect.

I have strong ties with Ukraine and Russia so iam prevlilaged to read fluently in Russian. I read regional papers from different cities like Odessa, Mariopole, Summy Chernigov but not Lviv. Kharkov is my base anreyway
