The Iraqi war was fought under heavy sanctions. Sanctions can be deadly to an economy, but you guys are just over hyping its impact.

Russia can sustain this crisis for 10years even with sanctions. The only people I feel for are the Ukrainians whose cities are been bombarded day in day out and the some Russians who will feel the slight impact on their economy.

The Iraqi sanctions and that of Russia are very different and Iraqi had little success because the entire country went with the government unlike what applies with Putin and Russia.

In the case of Iraq, it was mainly targeted at agriculture and the government upped its agricultural game almost instantly but there were deaths, malnutrition and outbreak of diseases on a large scale. Russia's economy is regarded as 'middle upper economy', not buoyant, not poor. However, these sanctions are not just coming from the UK and US or the United Nations, like that of Iraq but the West, including some Eastern Europe countries and neighbouring countries of Russia.

What's worse is that they can still sell weapons and oil but can't receive money since SWIFT is unavailable to them. Russians made panic withdrawals, their oligarchs were hit with direct sanctions and there have been protests in Moscow despite massive arrests.

Except the people support their government, sanctions as this one turn the people against their government and worse — the oligarchs who support the government. It is very different from that of Iraq.

Kuwait has the strongest currency and so what’s their GDP?? Are they amongst the richest or strongest economy in the world?? Mtcheeeew
They practicing closed economy, in such economy system there is no room for comparison of GDP or PCI. Kuwait is self sufficient in production, full employment capacity n GNP investment, lowest unemployment rate in the world, strongest currency and mps. So who GDP help? Also a country mine have a high GDP but 80% of this GDP mine below to foregn investors which make the citizens of such country a slave in their country because of loss of economy power to foreign investors. E.g Nigeria, south Africa etc. GDP is never a good economy indicator for measuring a country development but pci. N GDP is for open economy not closed economy lik Kuwait. Do don't just come NL and start talking rubbish while u lack basic economics knowledge.

Putin want to experien civil unrest.

When he knew they are already banned from doing that through Swift exclusion. Seems this Putin is a tragicomedian. Let him wait until FIFA bans Russia then he will ban his citizens from playing football. Sooner than he expects, his citizens will rise massively against him, then coup will happen.

I never liked Putin before.

I only started liking the man of lately when I discovered that the man is a great Nationalists and he firmly stands against these Globalists.

The same Satanic Evil Globalists that created the SCAMdemic COVID and wants to control the entire world.

Thus, a victory for Russia is a victory for the world when it comes to our FREEDOM as a whole.

God bless Vladimir PUTIN.

I'm taking about the Iraqi-Iranian war were Iran was sanctioned from all angle and Iraq armed to the teeth.

Infact, the only reason Saddam saw it necessary to invade Iran was because Iran was
heavily sanctioned and Isolated by the rest of the world, even the USSR was arming IraQ, yet Iran sustained the war for eight years and was able to go offensive within two years.

Now, we are talking about RUSSIA, a far more sophisticated country, advance military, self-sufficient in almost everything and you say they would collapse in just 4 weeks under sanctions?

Do you really think Russians won't rally behind their government in situation such as this? The protest you saw was just another propaganda to make it look Russia is loosing at home.

Like I have said earlier, Ukrainians will be on the loosing end and Russia is ready to sustain the crisis even if it lasts for ten years.

The world is being unfair to Russia.
All she trying to do, is protect herself.

In the UN council meeting, a minute silence is held for ukranians who lost their lives so far BUT WHAT ABOUT THE RUSSIAN FORCES WHO ARE BEING AMBUSHED AND KILLED!
FIFA has always said they don't mingle into politics, so why are all the sports outlets banning Russia.
Put Biden in putins's shoes.... Will it take a threat to its borders lightly?

Hopefully in the coming weeks "someone" will be brave enough to gather enough voices to support Russia.
The world cannot be at the foot of one country forever, power must change hands!

I doubt you understood the article.

Anyways, Putin and Russia won't last 4 weeks with this sanctions. I don't see how they will survive it. Internal conflict will most likely tear Russia apart if this lingers. Putin's fears are valid but like Ojukwu, he failed to analyse the West's worst case scenario.

I fear for Russia
a huge blow was dealt on Putin

America brought more development to this world than any other country.
They are the oldest democracy.
And even if they are not perfect, they have made so many technologies and social life to make the world a better place
Whatever it is that makes you choose Putin is nothing but just to be an opposition of good thing.
Be that as it may, America will continue to have more Influence than any other country in the world

Your analysis is top notch.

America and her gang members cannot remain on top forever.

Isolating Russia for a very long time is not feasible because of the position Russia occupies in the world in terms of its economic might.

The only aspect of your analysis that made me laugh is when you said that Xi laughed and shared the information Biden gave him with Putin.

Were you there when Xi was laughing?

Lol that was just a bit of exaggeration. But China obviously didn’t take US seriously if they had the guts to share classified information that the US gave them with Russia. So it’s not hard to imagine them laughing while doing it. Like “who do these ones think they are sef?”

Can the Kuwaiti economy compete with even the state of Texas?? What about production, innovation, and R&grin u think their closed economy can meet up all this?? Which swift will they use to transfer the money in the first place?

Like Putin is drunk on vodka. He has forgotten Russia has been isolated!

USA has cut ties with Central bank! Switzerland, who does not interfere in world politics has started raining it own sanctions

Putin should know it’s over!

You can’t fight United people who share common goals

I’ve always liked Putin but why they’re being sanctioned what has Ukraine done too in response that meme was hurtful o. I agree you can’t fight people that are United and Educated enough to preempt your moves …who know how to hit you where it hurts. European Union ideally should include Russia but it will take putting people first

Their money is the nicest in terms of feel but the history of it is what I hope God can give them renewal

Like I have said earlier, Ukrainians will be on the loosing end and Russia is ready to sustain the crisis even if it lasts for ten years.
Again, that was different in that temporary waivers were granted for oil importation from certain countries.

If you check out the list of sanctions, their weight and who backed the United States on those sanctions, you'd realise that it is nothing close to what Russia is experiencing at the moment. Even Russian media covered the anti-war protests and were the first to sum up the figure of over 5,700 Russians already arrested before it got to the CNN and bulk of the Western Media.

Putin started this war without the full backing of his very cabinet let alone the people of Russia. Since the war, he has fired nothing less than two people in the top ranks of the military. Propaganda will run normally but not when Russian TikTokers are going live with the protests.

Also, you need to ask why Russia, as powerful and huge as its army is is yet to fully invade Ukraine. This is day four and areas Russian troops took over have been wrestled out of their hands. Putin has looked to Chechnya mercs to fight his fight and that is not even enough given how brutal Chechnya's fighters are.

Ukraine will lose heavily and so will Russia. There is no victor in war but this particular war won't be a walk in the park for Russia. The sanctions have been devastating on Russia's economy and it was the same that many referred to as 'toothless' initially.
