I remembered when I depended solely on my dad to purchase Complete sports in order to get latest news. The days of no android or IPhone.

May his soul RIP - I remember buying Complete Football Magazine when it was N2 then in 1988 His real name then was Sunny Obazu- Ojeagbase, I guess he removed Obazu from his name - those who know - know

I remember going for an interview for a job as Account Officer at his Complete Sport's office at Okota, Lagos sometimes in 1993. He was part of the interview panel.

He was a great man.

His organisation helped explode the reporting on the Nigerian League in the mid 80's. For a sports mad person like me, that was heaven sent.

Met him once at his office in Okota just to thank him for all the joy he had brought me with the information in his publications, despite me being a young nobody and him being a trail blazing sports journal, he made time for me.

May the Good Lord give those he left behind the strength to bear their loss.
