True. He didn’t even understand the delicate balance he had to thread between Russian and western interests in his country. Ukraine is a historically Russian country with a large Russian speaking population.

You can’t just come in and rush to join the western alliance and allow them station their military assets in your country which is right at Russia’s doorstep when you know the historical tensions that exist between both sides. He is obviously a novice that knows nothing about international politics. He was actually in a perfect position to facilitate peace between both sides if he was just a little smarter. Shame.

Pathetic! Resorting to war shouldn't have been an option. In a time of war, everyone loses. There is a complexity to this thing; each party has their own side of the story that one can understand, but the killings and destruction are totally uncalled for.
