Also, a war can hit China economically. US would just pull its manufacturing away, and while the US may miss its cheap chinese goods, it would harm china more.

Taiwan not being in the UN is due to a small technicality ONLY which China (PRC) is taking advantage of to ensure they keep them out.

In a brief explanation below I will open your small brain to this fact. Note the parts in bold.


Taiwan was actually a founding member of the U.N., admitted as part of the Republic of China (ROC), which also included the Chinese mainland. However, a civil war in China forced the Republic of China's government to retreat to just the island of Taiwan, with the communist People's Republic of China (PRC) taking over control of the mainland. When it became clear that the ROC would be unable to retake control of the mainland (where the overwhelming majority of Chinese people lived), the United Nations stripped the ROC of its membership and declared the PRC the rightful holder of China's U.N. membership.

The ROC has applied for membership as the independent country of Taiwan, but as one of five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council, PRC-controlled China is in a position to veto Taiwan's candidacy in perpetuity. With the above, if you had a working brain you would see that it's all a power play by China (PRC) as that is the only way they could keep Taiwan out of the UN, nothing more.

This however did not stop 16 existing members of the UN from recognizing Taiwan as Sovereign which made China (PRC) to severe diplomatic relations with them as threatened.

Pakistan and India and Indonesia were one country until it was split.

China and Taiwan split after a civil war and the later has been self-governed since the 1940's.

Besides a quick question to you. If Taiwan wasn't independent why do they run citizenship programs? Would a country that isn't sovereign offer you citizenship of that country? If China owned Taiwan Shouldn't China own the citizenship as well?

I think the problem you have is the fact that Taiwan is also called THE REPUBLIC OF CHINA (ROC) However do not let that deceive you because that is separate from CHINA that you know which is known as PEOPLES REPUBLIC OF CHINA (PRC)

Taiwan as a soverign country has its own passport which is different from China

Find attached first the passport for Taiwan and second the passport for China

China runs a one country two systems, all linked to mainland, the central government.
Hong Kong was a democratic part of China, has its own flag and currency. This is also evisagased of Taiwan.
Remember Hong Kong was agitating between 2019 and 2020 for independence from Mainland China until President Xi Jin ping puts a strong law and pro-Beijing leaders that have now doused the tension, and the West and USA that were supporting them couldn't do a sh*t.
Very soon, the same will happen in Taiwan!
