greatness77: Excuse me, are you telling us Jesus is the one spoken of in Daniel 9 v 27? 27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him Do you realise this verse refers to one person? How can it be Jesus that will have a covenant with many, then the Romans led by General Titus be responsible for desecrating the temple? As a matter of fact, Paul made everything perfectly clear in 2 Thessalonians 2 v 1-4. 1 Like |

Righteousness2: He asked a valid question and the best you could have done is to give him a clear answer from your wealth of knowledge of the scripture. Would this be your response if an unbeliever or one of your church members you are preaching to asked same question? Your duty as a Christian is not only to preach hell fire everyday. It is to engage people on religious discussions that impacts positively. Now pastor, answer the question. I will like to know the answer too. 2 Likes |

greatness77: Thank you. Now since you admit to Daniel 9 v 27 referring to one person... please which of the rulers in history are you are aware of that had a covenant with many for 7 years before breaking it mid-way to defile the temple? Antiochus Epiphanes in 168/167 BC? or Emperor Titus in 70 AD? And to answer your question, my bad, there's one week left which is the final 7 years. The 70 week period is broken into three parts; Daniel 9 v 25-27; 25 “Know and understand this: From the time the word goes out to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler, comes, there will be seven ‘sevens,’ and sixty-two ‘sevens.’ It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble. 26 After the sixty-two ‘sevens,’ the Anointed One will be put to death and will have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed. 27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him The 70 weeks is broken into; a) Seven 'sevens' b) Sixty Two 'sevens' and; c) The final seven - This was what Paul referred to in 2 Thessalonians 2 v 1-4; 2 Thessalonians 2 v 1-4; So to perfectly clarify, we await the the final 7 days of the 70 weeks to take effect. Well unless, you're also saying 2 Thessalonians 2 v 1-4 is already fulfilled and Jesus has returned. 1 Like |

OkCornel:If the word Judea is not symbolic, why then is Christ warning only those in Judea to flee to the mountains? Is the message of end of the world only meant to for the Jews? Matt 24 message is not only for the Jews but a warning to the whole world. Read Apocalypse 13 and 17 very well and relate it to Daniel 8 and 9 and Math 24 you will find out that the abomination will take place in Rome and not a rebuilt Temple of Jerusalem. Daniel Chapter 9 narrated everything: that Christ will be killed, Jerusalem will be surrounded by Armies and the Temple will be destroyed and will never be rebuilt and after the Destruction, Christ will confirm the everlasting covenant with many for a symbolic one week. This points to the Catholic Holy Mass where the New Covenant is confirmed. Christ even went as far as showing us this at the last supper. After the symbolic one week, the abomination of desolation will come. This shows that this abomination is in regard with the new covenant worship, the Holy Mass and the Biggest Temple on Earth St Peters Basilica. God gave the world this sign that St Peters Basilica is the New Testament Temple when Benedict VI resigned and lightening struck the the Basilica 3 times. This was widely televised both by major media outlets including CNN and BBC. This is symbolic of the times of the abomination of desolation. This is the same place the LovePeddler of Babylon will sit upon as described in Apocalypse (Revelation) 17. The angel said that the seven heads are seven mountains. The city of seven hills or mountains is Rome. The same Beast blasphemed Gods alter on earth and the saints in heaven if you read Apocalypse 13, which points to the Abomination. This is why Our Lord said He will come when no one expected because whilst your pastors are busy telling you to wait for the reconstruction of the Temple of Jerusalem so that the anti christ will come and sit there, you don’t know that it is not the Jewish temple of Jerusalem that Christ is referring to but the Largest Christian Temple in the world, St Peters Basilica where there the relics of all the Apostles are located. If you continue believing that the “Temple of God” as mentioned by Our Lord in Matt 24 is a reconstructed Temple of the old covenant already abolished by Jesus Christ, then you are very wrong. You could as well join Judaism because you believe that when they rebuild that Temple, it can be fittingly called the “Temple of God” and capable of being profaned by the abomination. The Bible is very spiritual, you need the gift of knowledge and understanding to know what God revealed in it, if not as a Christian you will be misled. You will be here waiting for the Jews to rebuild their Temple without knowing that prophecy has been fulfilled long ago and the second coming is in the corner. Go back and read Apocalypse 13, 17, Daniel 8,9 and Matt 24 again. That is why the author of the Gospel of Mathew said “He who readeth let him understand” |

skybeauty: Your interpretation of the scripture is gnostic. I have a some questions for you. The temple Apostle John wrote about in Revelation 11 v 1-2; 1. I was given a reed like a measuring rod and was told, “Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, with its worshipers. 2. But exclude the outer court; do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles. They will trample on the holy city for 42 months. a) Is this temple a physical temple? b) Who are the worshipers in that temple? c) Where is this temple located? d) Where is this holy city in verse 2 located? |

OkCornel: This Temple is the Catholic Church during the end of time. Because of the Apostasy spoken of by St Paul very few will believe in the true concept of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Read the book of Hebrews very well and you will see where Paul wrote “we have an alter wherein those who participate in the Tabernacle are not qualified to eat from” This is after haven explained the spiritual reality of the New Testament Temple in chapter 12v22. And after which he said we have a Kingdom that cannot be shaken. The Sacrifice the New Testament worshippers “eat of “ is the living bread from heaven, that is body and blood of Christ in the species of bread and wine after the Priest have confirmed the covenant with those present and offered the sacrifice of Jesus to God. This is only possible if you consider the Catholic Faith in the interpretation. If not, nothing will make sense to you. Temple in Apocalypse 11 refers to the true Church of Christ which is capable of being profaned and not a false and wicked religion like Judaism, the synagogue of Satan. Because the angel cannever talk about worship and alter or Temple if it does not exist on earth during the end time. But the measurements spoken of is symbolic of how God will judge the faith of the remnats after the Temptations of the anti christ in the end of time. |

You mean, the true church of Christ is a building with outer courts to be trampled by the gentiles for 42 months? Okay ooo Now please can you tell us where this Holy City in Revelation 11 v 2 is located? I didn't see it in your response. |

Would be nice to see how this pans out. |

OkCornel: So you think the Jewish temple hasn't been destroyed before? In 587 BC, king Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon deliberately destroyed the temple and even took the Jews hostage to exile in Babylon. The Jews then expected the messiah. In 539 BC, king Cyrus of Persia conquered Babylon and set the Jews free from exile and returned them to their homeland in Palestine in Judea. Indeed, the Jews then thought that king Cyrus was the messiah and they adored him as god. Read Issiah chapter 44 and chapter 45 is all about extolling king Cyrus. However, some years later reality dawned on them that neither Nebuchadnezzar nor Cyrus had anything to do with their so called messiah. I am not done yet....... In 70 AD, Vespertian and Titus Flavian of Rome, destroyed the Jewish temple once again. The Jews, again thought the messiah was soon coming. That's why Rome seized the opportunity and created the character now known as Jesus because Rome reasoned that if the Jews could believe that Cyrus was the messiah, then they can believe Jesus is the messiah. Luckily for Rome, the trick worked, though the ancestral Jews realized the game and didn't believe it. No messiah is coming. No messiah came in the past. No messiah is coming in the future. Any promise of messiah to Abraham is mythology. African Christians wake up from your indoctrination. World events has nothing to do with fulfilling bible prophecy, rather it's your brain that's looking for patterns to make connections to things that doesn't have any relationship. My people wake up. |
