Now you come, the 70 seven(490yrs) happened when Cyrus isued a decree to rebuild jerusalem, did u know dat d arival of d anointed one(jesus) put an end to sin offering,prophecy etc? Or have u ever sacrificed a goat to atone for your sin and have u seen any prophet in d like of jeremiah,elijah etc in israel? did u knw dat jesus was the anointed one dat daniel is refering to? Did u knw dat jesus was the one dat will confirm his covenant with many(jews and gentiles) in d middle of one seven(7yrs) ? He directly said "covenant" to his disciples during d last supper, did u knw dat jesus was d anointed one dat was cut off and has nothing? Did u know dat romans put a statue of eagle in jerusalem and offer sacrifice to it? Finally stop linking daniels prophecy and mat 24 know dis and know peace, udo!!

Excuse me, are you telling us Jesus is the one spoken of in Daniel 9 v 27?

27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him

Do you realise this verse refers to one person?

How can it be Jesus that will have a covenant with many, then the Romans led by General Titus be responsible for desecrating the temple? undecided undecided

As a matter of fact, Paul made everything perfectly clear in 2 Thessalonians 2 v 1-4.

Same way I would pity those who witnessed WW1 and WW2 and falsely claimed Jesus would return that period too.

You are doing the same thing here, and not ready to tell yourself the truth.

Calm down and ask yourself if Jesus would come before the abomination of desolation will occur.

Is the Holy place where this will occur even constructed yet?

These are Jesus’ words in Matthew 24. Well, unless you know something Jesus doesn’t know.

He asked a valid question and the best you could have done is to give him a clear answer from your wealth of knowledge of the scripture.

Would this be your response if an unbeliever or one of your church members you are preaching to asked same question?

Your duty as a Christian is not only to preach hell fire everyday. It is to engage people on religious discussions that impacts positively.

Now pastor, answer the question. I will like to know the answer too.

Could Russia's Invasion Of Ukraine Be A Fulfilment Of Biblical Prophecy?

The world hasn't recovered but is still grappling with the devastating effects of covid-19 pandemic, as the vaccines have so far flattered to deceive, having not provided the desired results to curtail or stop the deadly virus.

Alongside this unusual pandemic which brought the world to her bare knees, there have been many other strange and unusual occurrences, including unprecedented natural disasters, taking place in different parts of the world.

Now we have a full-blown war in our hands in Ukraine that appears to be edging towards the 3rd world war which has been much spoken about, so could this be a fulfilment of biblical prophecy?

Jesus said:

Matthew 24:6-7 (KJV)

And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

I believe it is, because the signs have it that these are surely the last days. It's for this very reason we've been preaching and rigorously warning people to repent, because the end is at the door and the day of Jesus' second coming is very near.

I hope that all these warnings would not be in vain, and you still find yourself get left behind, because then you'd only have yourself to blame.

God bless.

Mr. Alarmist, if life don taya u make u go leave us - we dey here and life never taya us, stop souring people’s weekend with your distress and depressing claims of biblical end of the world just because life is giving you bad breaks and things are so tough for you …. let me ask you, has Putin done 10% of what Hitler did in 2nd world war? why the world never end almost 100 years now after the end of second world war ? was there not a pandemic in 1918 that killed almost 10 million people globally? why is covid an exception and it’s 100 years since the last pandemic and the world is still here, abeg go sleep joor….

The abomination that causes desolation already occurred after Jesus died. The Romans destroyed Jerusalem with her temple then placed the statue of the emperor in the temple to be worshiped. That is the abomination(ceasars statue) in the temple that caused desolution(destroyed israel to the extent people fled to judea and beyond)

Daniel 9 v 27;
27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.

Do you know of any Roman leader that had a covenant with many for 7 years, and mid-way through the 7 years broke the covenant and desecrated the temple? undecided

Thank you. Now since you admit to Daniel 9 v 27 referring to one person... please which of the rulers in history are you are aware of that had a covenant with many for 7 years before breaking it mid-way to defile the temple? Antiochus Epiphanes in 168/167 BC? or Emperor Titus in 70 AD?

And to answer your question, my bad, there's one week left which is the final 7 years. The 70 week period is broken into three parts;

Daniel 9 v 25-27;
25 “Know and understand this: From the time the word goes out to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler, comes, there will be seven ‘sevens,’ and sixty-two ‘sevens.’ It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble.

26 After the sixty-two ‘sevens,’ the Anointed One will be put to death and will have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed.

27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him

The 70 weeks is broken into;
a) Seven 'sevens'
b) Sixty Two 'sevens' and;
c) The final seven - This was what Paul referred to in 2 Thessalonians 2 v 1-4;

2 Thessalonians 2 v 1-4;

1.Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers and sisters,

2 not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us
—whether by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter—asserting that the day of the Lord has already come.

3 Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for THAT DAY WILL NOT COME UNTIL the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.

4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up IN GOD’S TEMPLE, proclaiming himself to be God.

So to perfectly clarify, we await the the final 7 days of the 70 weeks to take effect.

Well unless, you're also saying 2 Thessalonians 2 v 1-4 is already fulfilled and Jesus has returned.

Calm down and ask yourself this simple question. If according to you the temple in Matthew 24 is St Peter’s Basilica in Rome, what is the connection between the installation of the abomination that causes desolation in Rome with Jesus advising people in Judea to flee to the mountains?

Matthew 24 v 15-16;

15 “So when you see standing in the holy place the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand—

16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains

Luke 21 v 20-21;

20 “When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near.

21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city.

.

If the word Judea is not symbolic, why then is Christ warning only those in Judea to flee to the mountains? Is the message of end of the world only meant to for the Jews? Matt 24 message is not only for the Jews but a warning to the whole world. Read Apocalypse 13 and 17 very well and relate it to Daniel 8 and 9 and Math 24 you will find out that the abomination will take place in Rome and not a rebuilt Temple of Jerusalem. Daniel Chapter 9 narrated everything: that Christ will be killed, Jerusalem will be surrounded by Armies and the Temple will be destroyed and will never be rebuilt and after the Destruction, Christ will confirm the everlasting covenant with many for a symbolic one week. This points to the Catholic Holy Mass where the New Covenant is confirmed. Christ even went as far as showing us this at the last supper. After the symbolic one week, the abomination of desolation will come. This shows that this abomination is in regard with the new covenant worship, the Holy Mass and the Biggest Temple on Earth St Peters Basilica. God gave the world this sign that St Peters Basilica is the New Testament Temple when Benedict VI resigned and lightening struck the the Basilica 3 times. This was widely televised both by major media outlets including CNN and BBC. This is symbolic of the times of the abomination of desolation. This is the same place the LovePeddler of Babylon will sit upon as described in Apocalypse (Revelation) 17. The angel said that the seven heads are seven mountains. The city of seven hills or mountains is Rome. The same Beast blasphemed Gods alter on earth and the saints in heaven if you read Apocalypse 13, which points to the Abomination.

This is why Our Lord said He will come when no one expected because whilst your pastors are busy telling you to wait for the reconstruction of the Temple of Jerusalem so that the anti christ will come and sit there, you don’t know that it is not the Jewish temple of Jerusalem that Christ is referring to but the Largest Christian Temple in the world, St Peters Basilica where there the relics of all the Apostles are located.

If you continue believing that the “Temple of God” as mentioned by Our Lord in Matt 24 is a reconstructed Temple of the old covenant already abolished by Jesus Christ, then you are very wrong. You could as well join Judaism because you believe that when they rebuild that Temple, it can be fittingly called the “Temple of God” and capable of being profaned by the abomination.

The Bible is very spiritual, you need the gift of knowledge and understanding to know what God revealed in it, if not as a Christian you will be misled. You will be here waiting for the Jews to rebuild their Temple without knowing that prophecy has been fulfilled long ago and the second coming is in the corner.

Go back and read Apocalypse 13, 17, Daniel 8,9 and Matt 24 again. That is why the author of the Gospel of Mathew said “He who readeth let him understand”

Your interpretation of the scripture is gnostic.

I have a some questions for you.

The temple Apostle John wrote about in Revelation 11 v 1-2;
1. I was given a reed like a measuring rod and was told, “Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, with its worshipers.

2. But exclude the outer court; do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles. They will trample on the holy city for 42 months.

a) Is this temple a physical temple?
b) Who are the worshipers in that temple?
c) Where is this temple located?
d) Where is this holy city in verse 2 located?

They should rebuild the Temple first and restore the daily sacrifices in there for a start. Until then, we are in for a very long wait.

This Temple is the Catholic Church during the end of time. Because of the Apostasy spoken of by St Paul very few will believe in the true concept of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Read the book of Hebrews very well and you will see where Paul wrote “we have an alter wherein those who participate in the Tabernacle are not qualified to eat from” This is after haven explained the spiritual reality of the New Testament Temple in chapter 12v22. And after which he said we have a Kingdom that cannot be shaken. The Sacrifice the New Testament worshippers “eat of “ is the living bread from heaven, that is body and blood of Christ in the species of bread and wine after the Priest have confirmed the covenant with those present and offered the sacrifice of Jesus to God. This is only possible if you consider the Catholic Faith in the interpretation. If not, nothing will make sense to you. Temple in Apocalypse 11 refers to the true Church of Christ which is capable of being profaned and not a false and wicked religion like Judaism, the synagogue of Satan. Because the angel cannever talk about worship and alter or Temple if it does not exist on earth during the end time. But the measurements spoken of is symbolic of how God will judge the faith of the remnats after the Temptations of the anti christ in the end of time.

Infact Jesus made it clear that those who use wars, earthquakes and disasters as sign of the end times are liars;

Read Matthew 24 v 4-8;
4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you.

5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many.

6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.

7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.

8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.

Just imagine the false alarmists running amok on this platform busy claiming what Jesus said are “beginning of birth pains” to shout Jesus is coming soon. Stark displays of religiosity and thick ignorance.

Jesus clearly mentioned, these things are expected to happen AND YOU SHOULD NOT BE ALARMED. THAT IS NOT A SIGN OF THE END TO COME.

Study the scriptures and stop falling for these false alarmists. Haba!!!

In 587 BC, king Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon deliberately destroyed the temple and even took the Jews hostage to exile in Babylon. The Jews then expected the messiah.

In 539 BC, king Cyrus of Persia conquered Babylon and set the Jews free from exile and returned them to their homeland in Palestine in Judea. Indeed, the Jews then thought that king Cyrus was the messiah and they adored him as god. Read Issiah chapter 44 and chapter 45 is all about extolling king Cyrus.

However, some years later reality dawned on them that neither Nebuchadnezzar nor Cyrus had anything to do with their so called messiah.

I am not done yet.......

In 70 AD, Vespertian and Titus Flavian of Rome, destroyed the Jewish temple once again. The Jews, again thought the messiah was soon coming. That's why Rome seized the opportunity and created the character now known as Jesus because Rome reasoned that if the Jews could believe that Cyrus was the messiah, then they can believe Jesus is the messiah. Luckily for Rome, the trick worked, though the ancestral Jews realized the game and didn't believe it.

No messiah is coming. No messiah came in the past. No messiah is coming in the future. Any promise of messiah to Abraham is mythology.

African Christians wake up from your indoctrination.

World events has nothing to do with fulfilling bible prophecy, rather it's your brain that's looking for patterns to make connections to things that doesn't have any relationship.

My people wake up.
