The fact remains that Putin thought that going into Ukraine will be like Crimea and he coukd take Ukraine in 3 days but he still can't believe that Zelensky is still president and the gambit for him is to draw the West in but no way will they gratify him in battle...they will feed this battle remotely and do damage to Putin at home and wear him out away for far longer than he is willing to go...

it's a freaking SIEGE... SIEGES are war strategies ... its insane that ppl like you think UKraine stands a chance against Russia. Russia is even using COLD WAR tech, choppers and not doing strategic bombing. You guys are really naive

Where folks like you miss it is that you think anybody believes Ukraine ALONE stand a chance against Russia...no way BUT you have to admit that Putin is infuriated that he still wakes up to see Zelenskys face because this isnt just Ukraine-He thought it will just be a drive through like Crimea but... You are right when u said it was going to be a long drawn out war not because that's what Putin wants (he is bleeding badly on all fronts) but because that is what the west will give him...wear him out on all fronts that even when there is a ceasefire he wont consider going back in!
