This is what the Nigerian army loves to do
It gives them a lot of orgasm when they are told to face off against unarmed civilians.

There is rumor of planned protest, and one call to the army, they are already out, fully armed. If terrorists and armed bandits give them prior notice of an invasion, you will never see them get mobilized.

Lost, hopeless country.

They should just please release the driver to the protesters for justice to be served.

See... Killing the driver will not expose the real killer. The real killer can still hire or manipulate other persons to do the job. Jungle justice will just spoil things here.

If that driver can be drilled enough, he will talk. The real guy will be exposed.

The last administration never offered half of the inconveniences, insecurity, and injustices that people have seen in this administration, yet they are blocking people from protesting! Preventing people from exercising their rights! How is this humane? Can someone make this make sense?

This same guys protested and instigated protests here and there in the last administration. These same guys!

Overt show of force. When will African leaders come to terms with the notion that peaceful protest or assembly is the right of the people?

Disgruntled and disillusioned youth. Obviously common sense have since evaded the mind of the average Nigerian youth. Everything to them is now protest this and protest that. I wonder what outcome their nonsense protest will yield.

The young lady was murdered, a suspect is in custody, what's left is for the police to do their job. So, if these Disgruntled and foolish youths have any aorta of sense, they should make it their business and petition the police to make sure the girl's killers are found and brought to book.

Foolish fools. Funny how they can never stage protest to go and vote, it is always what will cause mayhem in the society they always protest about. Tssk.

Left to Social Media Court, that driver would have been Convicted & Executed by now.
But we need to allow proper investigations to be carried out by the police to establish facts & not sentiments.

But I think the driver was held at gunpoint by the rapists/ritualist/robbers. If he was part of the hoodlums, they most likely would not have allowed the lady to make calls & send info about the BRT.

But he is definitely culpable for not calling the police after the incident (though knowing our police, many of us would have done same under similar circumstances)

Please go and read the full story before coming here to make useless comment.
They never knew she contacted her friends already.
Why would a brt bus light be switched off at night?
Why didn't he carry another passenger beside the perpetrators?
Why was the body found after alarm was raised which was three days after?
this foolish man worked the second day of the event
Go and twitter and read her friends story

This deployment of soldiers to spots of small scale civil unrest in this country is really unnecessary.
Soldiers should stay in their barracks.
If the NPF opens a vacancy calling for 1 million applications for recruitment today, they will get even double that number, so hire more officers and train them properly.

Soldiers can come out when there is real anarchy across several areas of a state and a country happening at the same time e.g EndSars period.

Allowing soldiers to mix and mingle with civilian population the way we do here is not good.

I'm of the opinion that people should be allowed to grieve and show their anger on a government that has abandoned them and failed to protect them. May be that's the language the government would understand to make amends. The soldiers should just stand aside and watch.

I think you should read what you wrote yourself again.....it does not make a Sense...... U are making excuses for a Dubious act...You should Speak for yourself....A good person should report to the Police, irrespective of what we think of the Nigeria police force..How can a good heart sleep when he/she experienced such cruelty on an innocent girl...
You speak such uncomfortable words because she isn't related to u

Let's be temperate and reasonable.

Protest is a right in democracy. That the driver has been arrested is no proof that justice is taking its course. Protest is a means to hear the public out.

If there is a mistrust that they'd burn brt busses out, the security can simply go and protect the brt stations or other govt properties. Alternatively, they can export them while they protest to enforce order. Not prevent people from making their grievances known and speaking to the press.

Let's not play partisan politics to the neglect of human feelings. The baby lion you tolerate now may be big enough to harm you when it grows...

You know... Protest is a way of the public to express their stances. Protest keeps administrations on its toes. It's a right in democracy and it's a power of the people. It draws international attention.

This particular issue concerns this govt. The crime happened in a govt property. From indications, it appears that the govt is trying to cover something up.

Trying to prevent any protest at all is just crazy!

Useless country with forces. They won't do anything about insecurity but will be quick to deploy animals in uniform once they notice the citizens angry or trying to protest

He is party to the crime. Why did he pack his bus at his terminal without informing his employer, nor reporting to the police? He ran away from his work place. I still believe that this not his first time.
