When are we going to stop all this religious and tribal nonsense....?? When??

When are we going to start crying for competent candidates?? This country is just annoying....After all we’ve been tru in this country...we are still at the this “it’s our tribe’s turn”

If it’s about tribe...The Igbo’s should form an alliance that will make them win... like buhari did with the yorubas in 2015 and stop crying it’s their turn

it’s is nobody’s turn ...
But It’s everybody’s turn ...

Well since its nobody's turn, then no point saying power should rotate to the South

Every zone including the North, should aspire for the Presidency in 2023

Me too

I will never support that Tinubu cuz of hin greed
.i would rather choose a dog aspirant from south east rather than that Greedy Old man

When I say that 2023 is the turn of the south east people, some Tinubu useless and cursed urchins will call me IPOB or IGBO...

In all fairness, it is the turn of the south east people to produce the next president in 2023. but if Tinubu won't let that happen, then let the North retain power.

I will not support Tinubu because I'm Yoruba , No, I hate greed.

You and Adeyanju are politically lost in the scope of a thing on ground unless yo want to tell me Buhari was just sleeping in his house no campaign, no strategy nothing nothing and he was called Mr Buhari go and be the president.

You are a Yoruba and I'm igbo but I'm telling you the structure or the arrangement you are talking about gad been destroyed by Buhari and Kanu this a fact.

Buhari turned Nigerins against each no one trust anyone again, everybody looking fir revenge on others durometer to his nepotism AND Kanu came on board the little connection, love left in the heart of Nigerians he came with ipigs idiots and killed it completely ok so tell how to convinced Buhari to support SE when all my people want is to rub the power release Knu and use ipig as their bullying tools? Or release him and give him a royal welcome after all insults on Nigeria, Buhari, other tribes and the compulsory sit at home under a sitting president if it were you and Adetanju will you accept it.

You want SE baa? pls so far name one politician who is serious about becoming the president in SE? Is it Umahi that bullying his people and locking up whoever criticised him? Or Anyim that went to see Adebanjo in SW and went back is that how to play inclusive and diverse politics? Peter Obi showed interest same my people kicked against him so are you telling me Nigerians should just drop presidency in someone's door step from the S.East, has that ever happened in Nigeria history?

So same my own people (excluding me and my household) claiming they are not Nigerians since independence you now want Buhari or other Nigerians to vote for them? Then no need calling Buhari Sudannesse or Atiku a Cameronian. Pls first accept Nigeria as you country then talk about being the president. Thanks.

If any region from the South want presidency let them go and work for it failure to work for it they will wail forever.

Exactly, Even the SE doesn't want the Presidency. All they want is Biafra just to be left alone. What use is the Presidency when the real power still resides with the North? Change the country's current structural set up then maybe they will talk to you. For starter how do one explain that both Kaduna and Kano states have more local governments than the combined six states in the SE. This is in a country where the allocation of funds tends to be base on local government.

I agree with you. You are honest. We still have three regions that have not tested and the majority is in the north like north central and north east. The only region in the south is south east. At least south south had one tenure

Of course, if there’s a competent northerner, by all means let he or she be the winner..

It’s just irritating to me when we bring up incompetent leaders just becos they are from a tribe...just look the wasted eighth years

All we have to show are fee infrastructure we can actually do without, a debt portfolio higher than Mount Everest, and pile of dead bodies just because becos someone wants to be sympathetic to his Fulani tribe.....

The Presidency if Nigeria had never been about competence, its always been about tribe and sectional interests

When I said Yoruba need to start making it clear to the so called half n half that they are not Yoruba and must not be accepted let alone speak for us, that they are out to destroy Yorubaland, people think it's unnecessary. Well this is one who may not even be Yoruba at all as the saying goes "mama's baby daddy's maybe." He's using Yoruba name so many will think he's Yoruba. These so called half n half have a mission to appropriate all things Yoruba and destroy it from the inside. I will be creating a thread and list them so y'all can know them and their activities. Those of them married to Igbos too are enemies combatants and should be kept at arms length while we still can. People like Woli Arole, Mr Macaroni, Toun Alatise and many of them like that. I will find time and either list them here or on another platform. Lizzy Anjorin is half Yoruba but Toyin Abraham is NOT Yoruba at all yet their feud is made about Yoruba as they destroy Yoruba name because people think they are part of us.

Tinubu needs to start taking his chair anywhere he goes before they spray his next chair with blood and then say he's menstruating. Don't some kings take their chairs with them? It doesn't get more kingly than Tinubu. You just can't put anything past these desperate people looking to reap where they didn't sow. Ayo Fayose warned us about the dirty trick planned for Tinubu long time ago.

The stupid Deji, hungryman activist is a Nairalander. The boy is from Kogi state, so if he is anti-SW, that's his headache. He is what he is, an ethnic minority that has no influence on the political future of an ethnic majority.

Stylishly drawing attention and support to Atiku's candidacy in PDP I see..

Why can't Deji Adeyanju ask PDP to field an Igbo candidate considering all the years of support PDP enjoyed from SE? why is he keeping quiet at the obvious Igbo hate and marginalization going on in PDP?

He is just using the Igbos to play politics while shying away from the fact on ground.
Re: 2023: It's Better North Retains Power Instead Of South West - Deji Adeyanju by DCatt: 2:29pm On Mar 11, 2022
Maybe he doesn't see himself as Yoruba anyway. Identity crisis is a problem to many and that's why I told a friend that her son is half Yoruba and half Asante so she shouldn't try to make him Yoruba because he's not. Let's start telling people the truth.

Igbos would have colonized Yorubas in Nigeria if not for other ethnicities in the North and Middle belt.. Azikiwe, an Igbo almost became Premier in the West and some Yorubas at the time actually saw nothing wrong with that. The same Zik wanted West to adopt Igbo language and dump Yoruba language so it will be Hausa in the North and Igbo in the entire South. Thank God for the late sage Awolowo who thwarted the plans of Zik and his Igbo people but I'm afraid we have very few like Awo left among Yorubas.

Once a Yoruba man or woman marries from outside e.g. Igbo, he/she automatically starts seeing things from the in-laws perspectives not minding if Yoruba interests are covered. Same goes for the muslims, they automatically see people from other ethnicities practicing Islam as their brothers and sisters, not in any way considering their Yoruba bloodline.

The division is just too much and that is why Yorubaland has suffered several attacks from outsiders. Our people need re-orientation seriously else we will continue to slave for others to eat and dominate politics in Nigeria.

when igbo started calling you names, just understand it's their characteristic they're calling out

they're are major stakeholders in PDP after North, as far as I'm concern, Yoruba can't even decide for igbo in PDP presently because igbo are in majority than Yoruba, now this same igbo have contestant who have shown interest, they declined him and line behind Atiku another North (I wonder what the meaning of betrayermeans again) perhaps because Anyim is from Ebonyi as them see them as half Igbo but what about Chidoka and Peter Obi?

to think this was not enough, igbo can't decide for Yoruba in APC as we don't only have majority stakeholders in APC, we've millions of members with five states being governed by the APC. so this yoruba should forgone their labour for igbo who are seeing their kinsmen as inferior to Atiku a Northerner and give them the ticket without contest?

Wike is waiting for those empty head, do you see Wike criticizing the ruling party and opposition again? by this time next year them go resume their Biafra or I die mantra, unthinkable specimen

Indeed. What you describe above is the confused and misplaced hate in the soul of the average Igbo that always consumes them in the end and is responsible for their self-destruction of the SE currently.

They will never vote an Igbo if they feel Atiku is in a better position to defeat a Yoruba in their 'anyone but Yoruba' hatred.

They don't care the damage Atikus policies and political outlook will do to them. Nor do they care if they will benefit massively from the socio-economic plans of the Yoruba candidate.

The 'cut your nose to spite your face' hate most Igbos are born with means they will go with Atiku who, to them, is a 'sure banker' to defeat Tinubu or any other Yoruba.

This is how any intelligent person can tell Igbos will always lose and never amount to nought politically in Nigeria. Even if given the Presidency free, it will still end in disgrace for a people who know how to hate blindly but not much else.

As proof, look at what Stella Oduah was doing as Minister under GEJ Presidency all Igbos claimed as their own to use vindictively and hatefully.

She was busy sacking all Yorubas to replace them with Igbos while her fellow Igbos cheered her on. Imagine her as President?

The unprincipled joker is now an APC member after fleeing to "Afonja muslim and Boko Haram" Party to escape EFCC probe.

Funny thing is that if Atiku wins she would run to PDP and be looking for ways to hate, sabotage and hurt Yorubas as her kinsmen do here on NL 24/7.

If I were Igbo, but still managed to retain my Yoruba sense, then I would be weeping for Igbos.

I would be so distraught at the problems we have as a people, and the ignoble character of my kinsmen, to the extent I would simply hide my head in shame and remain silent.

True

I don't understand how any South Westerner can want power to go to the SW in 2023 when he knows fully well that the SW have had their 8 years with Obasanjo?

You want what will amount to a 'third term' in this democratic dispensation when your comerades in the South like the SS, have had only one term, and the SE have had nothing?

That is greed. Rather than power to go to the SW, let it stay in the North. At least that way, we know it didn't come down South at all
What has North Central and North East had? When is their turn to produce a president?

God bless you sis/bro!

Do you know that they are trying to destroy our language too? Wherever they are, you are not allowed to speak Yoruba. They are in our land, they should learn Yoruba. It's the same Igbos who went to court that we can't make Yoruba language an admission requirement in Yorubaland. Igbo went to court to stop Abiola. Obasanjo an igbo used stolen Abiola's mandate after an arranged prison time, it just happened to be that this fresh prisoner is the only person qualified from Yorubaland to be president at the time. Don't forget what the same Obasanjo put Awolowo through. Igbos are a serious enemy 100 times Fulani will ever be. Also Tinubu reminds them of Awolowo and that's why Igbos hate him so much.

How long are we going to do this for? Is it when their population is so much that we can't do much about it. If every Yoruba refuses to attend Yoruba/Igbo wedding as I do for a start, it will be the beginning of having our respect back. I've told people close to me that if they can't find Yoruba to marry, then marry Ghanaians or whites or even Asian. ONLY OMO ALE YORUBA MARRY IGBOS!
