you can show Iheanacho improvement without degrading daka, just because Iheanacho doesn't have the strength does not warrant you to call daka's effort senseless undecided undecided undecided and daka has finishing also with his pressing game that what puts him ahead of nacho in the team so nacho should work on his flaws and put daka behind him wink so will you join people to call osimehn pressing game senseless when he fails to score in a game and martens is brought on and get a goal in Same game undecided undecided undecided
if you watch the game last night you will understand, same thing some are complaining about Osimhen, he was isolated in front, he was just running around when he should have drop a little dip which is what nacho did yesterday.

If you watch yesterday's game you will notice great improvement in his holdup play. With iheanacho you will agree with me that striking is not just about pressing, just like Daka was pressing without sense. For Leicester I'll go for nacho as a top 9 to Daka
I think it's also fair to note that but for his colleagues Ihenacho wouldn't have scored that goal. He's still very problematic with his first touch. Lookman was fantastic with the steal and gave him a beautiful pass, but lost it on first touch. No doubt he's an intelligent player, but still has a lot to work on

Ihenacho is the best thing to happen to super Eagles but we still don't know how to use him

yea, his first touch still needs some work, which I think it's because his brain works faster than his leg.

How he performs as a top 9 is dependent on tactics and how the coach set up his team. Man city and Chelsea have been playing without a CF for some time now but they still score loads of goals.

I remember the commentator's remarks about Iheanacho yesterday. He said ' Now that is what you need from a Centre Forward, brilliant.' This was even before the goal.

Like I said earlier, only top notch coaches will know how to use a player like Iheanacho. It's very easy for a coach to regard him as useless just because they don't know how to use him but that's on them, not him.

This has nothing to do with him changing his game to suit a coach's tactics but has everything to do with the coach refusing to be stagnant and taking that bold step to educate himself on how to use Iheanacho. Players like him are rare. Very rare.

Of course some people will ask ' Who is Iheanacho that a coach should learn how to use him?'. grin

I've said it here before that there are different kinds of Centre Forwards. There are different kinds of Strikers. Gone are the days, you would have a 6ft 5 behemoth waiting in the box and bullying all the defenders. Football has evolved beyond that.

I'd pick a 5 ft 7 Jermain Defoe over a 6ft 1 Diego Costa any day any time. But that's my personal preference.

We need to change with the times else we'll be left behind.

In their mind, if you don’t know how to press or hold the ball, you’re not a striker because whoever started the insinuation that iheanacho with his exquisite clinical finishing ability is not a striker is a football novice. It’s just imbalanced that we have many available strikers and few midfielders

Exactly. Two of our most clinical Centre Forwards are Iheanacho and Onuachu but people don't fancy them because one is not so physical and the other is slow.

Even Leicester fans have said multiple times that Iheanacho has a far better hold up play than Daka, and when it comes down to it, is a better striker.

Now, you can say this is so because of his time spent in the PL and experience gathered, but he is still a better striker. However, they work best as a team, the two of them on that pitch together.

Yira Sor with a sublime second, rounds the GK. Then nearly injures himself with a front flip.

A new wonderkid on the block.
Just as I thought Slavia's coach has criticized him for that flip.

Dessers is now the first Nigerian in a decade to score five goals in Europe.

His coach has officially given him the starting place.

As always, he is Nigeria's best player.

But talent is not always enough. At 25, he should be forcing a move for gametime.

But whenever Nigerians get to Britain, to get out is war.

And knowing that the only way he can progress from Leicester is to move outside, Iheanacho will not leave.

According to the new rules for voting in the Ballon d'Or

Only the Top 100 male teams in FIFA rankings will be able to vote in the Men's Category.

In the female category, only the Top 50 ranked female teams will qualify to vote.

I just went to check the rankings for Female football, and it turns out Nigeria is the only African team ranked within the Top 50, and may likely be the only African team to vote in that category. Wild stuff.

That is one problem I have with him. It seems like his utmost priority is the British Passport. This guy will be a beast in La Liga.

I hate how low African rep in Women's football is on the global stage. Like barely enough voice to as much as shout and turn heads.

Normally one would say the teams should step up, but that's too unfortunate and slow. I don't know what the African women admins are regarding that.

The La Liga is a very technical league. In my opinion, even more technical than the EPL. Only recently did the EPL supercede La Liga in terms of overall rankings.

Iheanacho is a very technical player. Iheanacho and La Liga will be like bread and butter.

I hope you understand now

Aptly said! At the under 17, Nacho's first touch was superb. I don't understand how he regressed in that aspect.
semid4lyfe:
Most times, he fails to control the ball with that one touch and is quickly crowded out or dispossessed.

Also his pressing, closing space, work rate, ball playing ability, link/hold-up play, speed, physicality & strength etc leaves much to be desired.

His strengths - shooting & clinical finishing.

He's presents a conundrum of sort as he's not the best for the role of an attacking midfielder, support striker or a 9.

Good enough to be a squad player and making substitute appearances but shouldn't be starting games for the Super Eagles as his minuses outweighs what he brings to the team.

Eguavoen is not okay.
To even have the guts to defend this rubbish. He nor know say many of those advising him want him to fumble and fail, even those in his team— so they can take his place or get food off his mouth.

Dey there dey have the final say.

Yeye!

"To pacify everybody......I put him on the standby list"

Read between the lines. Its either some NFF bigwigs took bribes from Onazi, attempted to force him on Eguavoen but the coach was having none of that and decided to put the player on the standby list as a compromise to keep his job.

Or

Eguavoen took bribes from Onazi and attempted to put him in the first team but the NFF was having none of that, so coach and federation agreed to put the player on standby as a compromise.

In either case, Onazi (or agents acting on his behalf), bribed somebody to put him on the team. Shame.
