13large:When was the last time time a serie a team won the UCL? 2010, some 12 years back. If french league one is a farmers league then Serie A should be liken to carpenters league. Since 2017, no Serie A team has advanced to the Semi finals. |

TFLASHOGEE: Guardiola did not have space for Sancho, that did not mean he wanted him sold. Guardiola from my take, did not want to sell Iheanacho. Iheanacho pushed for the move. |

TheGoodJoe:Iheanacho did not push for the move. There was an opportunity and an ambitious club came with money, desire, and a project. Sometimes, neutrality is affirmation. |

drDoom3: If you could read my comments at that time about this matter, I was against the move. Manchester City was ready to keep him and I felt Iheanacho would gain more by training and learning from the top players in the club. I pointed to Foden who was in the same situation. He had the likes of De Bruyne, David Silva, and Gundogan ahead of him in midfield. However, Foden went against a move or loan and decided to train with the big boys and Guardiola. We can see the effect today. I wanted Iheanacho to do the same. Stay some years learning and then he could break into the squad and made a move later. He opted to move to Leicester City against the wishes of the club and manager. |

COOL10:You can't come to that conclusion when you don't know what is going on in the guy's life. He could be enrolled in school, having investments or whatever personal commitment that needs his presence there for now or even beyond. My point is let Nacho worry about himself and get better. We can't live their lives for them. |

13large:Shakespeare, Puel had no confidence in KC but among all manager's Brendan Rodgers has been the most patient with him. And given him so much opportunity. The problem is not the Manager. |

drDoom3:Just 2 goals in the EPL from 17 games eeeee get as e be. I had big hopes this season , I thought he had woken up from the three consecutive seasons of abysmal mediocrity last season. But now the season is coming to an end and he is not looking good. |

COOL10:I don't think so. KC has just signed a contract extension to his current contract taking him to 2024, not sure what his salary I am getting wide disparities. The club is under no obligation to make it public. I have had variations from £60 -£115k a week. Nonetheless, who is going to pay money for a striker who has been flop most of his career. His best option is to let his contract finish become a free agent and see the best you can get. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by komekn(m): 11:12am On Mar 12, 2022 |
COOL10:It ts very simplistic. If be a club wants you they will not sell you, if he they value you be they will even pay more to keep you. Look at Saka at Arsenal already talking contract extension. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by timay1: 11:19am On Mar 12, 2022 |
komekn:Fact Bernardo Silva wasn't happy with his game time last season. He pushed for a move in the beginning of the season, with some clubs already bidding for him sef. But the club , as well as Guardiola refuse to let him go and Guardiola eventually convinced him to stay. Why is that?. It is because Guardiola values him and now look at what he's doing in the team this season. If the club and/or coach values a player's contribution in a team, they will always make sure the player stays, no matter the amount of bids that comes in for the player. The club can even go as far as giving him a new upgraded contract just to convince such player |
