Another side to this story I am hearing, from YouTube is that Zaslav doesn't quite like what the current bosses are doing or the direction taken, and he is trying to bring the Dceu together in that he wants to re-integrate the former guys into the narrative. Not necessarily bring back the Snyder vision but create a continuity and unite the fanbase. In essence, there maybe reshoots that sees Cavill returning in black Adam, the story might change for Ben Affleck in the flash. Notice that the films shifted have some sort of connection or creates a kind of continuity with the old films. I mean, why would the flash that just finished filming take a year and 6 months for Vfx, same with Aquaman and black Adam, only for Shazam to be pulled forward, and I believe it finished filming after black Adam right or something.
I think we might be seeing a change in narrative that brings Cyborg back. But in all, I see it having more to do with Discovery and Zaslav trying to ditch Killian and the old woman and Hamada visions. And the merger happens in April. I might be wrong Sha.

Discovery can't do shït or change any narrative they like in a company they are yet to acquire. Things doesn't work that way. Besides the merger is also subject to US authorities on monopoly and entertainment approval.

Even if Discovery plans on taking a new narrative they can't effectively effect that until about six months to a year after the acquisition. Things just stops going or changes because of a possible merger. Only things that can be on hold are projects yet to go deep in devt.

Even if it goes through best believe that major heads at WB are staying. Forget all those heads will roll talk. You can't just come to a new organisation and make drastic changes and clearing out people especially when it's not a dying business.


People just want to take away the credit from this board and appropriate it to a mangt that is miles away from even taking over.
Moreover this happenings is a WB call and not necessarily a Zaslav anticipation. WB had shown signs of reworking some things in the franchise especially that Peacemaker finale. Which shows they have a bigger plan for the sidelined characters.

I feel the same way, but this is James Cameron, who released t2 7 years after t1. And t2 for me is one of the greatest action movies ever.

And just maybe his delays will mean a properly fleshed out story, not those s**t matrix sequels

Ann Sarnoff and her second seem more like pawns or puppets cos the real power still belong to the old WB execs.

I don't see discovery cancelling things or making drastic changes in so short a time. Their real workings starts taking off mid 2023 depending on when they finalise the deal.

If it was 20th century fox marketing or still in charge of Avatar sequels, I would have maintained my stance that it ain't doing a billion dollars. But it's Disney's marketing engine behind it.

Nevertheless, I believe Shazam 2 will still make its money regardless of Avatar. It's an Xmas and family Oriented as well as a counter programming to Avatar. Aquaman 2 going up against Avatar would have been counter productive as both movies sequels are basically the same. So both movies woulda cannibalise themselves — one with 800+, the other $900mn+.


Many people forget Sherlock Holmes released a week after Avatar in December 2009. Sherlock still went on to gross $520mn+ at the box office, what was unprecedented and shocking to analysts.

I think the Joker tease was because even though The Batman is a standalone film everybody knows it will grow into a trilogy because Batman is a money spinner....so Matt Reeves put Joker there cuz he didn't have concrete plans for a sequel they haven't even announced yet

I'm only bothered about the billion dollar gross. The movie is sure to gross $400mn domestic which would surpass all DCEU movies except WW.
If China can deliver $200mn then we achieved the goal.
