The diplomacy was fruitless. It was like accepting to take a horse to the river, but refuse to let it drink water. A good example is the Minsk agreement that was signed between Ukraine and Russia. For over eight years, Putin have exhausted all diplomatic means to make Ukraine ratify it into the constitution, but Ukraine refused. That single act would have prevented this war, as it basically contains provisions that will make the conflict unthinkable.

Saying Putin refuse to listen is not true, and this is an angle the western media will never discuss about. In all honesty, Putin had no option else than to go to war. Over ten thousand Russians have died in Donbass since 2014, killed by Ukrainian army but this was never mentioned in mainstream media and it seems like no one knows about it either.

I noticed that Nigerians generally have one way perspective about this issue, which makes them reach biased conclusions ,and it's because the western media is a giant speaker even more powerful than local media, which means people opinions are just a repetition of what the west want them to think. For example RT, Sputnik and other Russian media outlet have been banned from YouTube, why so?

Banning a media house because its Russian is an onslaught to the concept of freedom of speech. I'm not dumb, I can think with my senses, and can tell if the russians are telling me nonsense. Why ban it? But I know why, the west don't want people to know the other perspective, and its easier to just close their mouth so they won't talk. It's like killing evidence so you can slaughter the other in good conscience.

I'll advice anyone that wants a balance perspective in this conflict to stay away from established media houses like CNN, BBC, and even your local news. They are agenda driven and wants you to think in a certain way. Remember before the invasion of Iraq, the US secretary of state shamefully dangle detergent powder in the UN as evidence that Iraq have weapon of mass destruction, the world was fooled and the country is now completely destroyed. Same with Syria, Iran, Venezuela, Yugoslavia, and so many more

By listening to the enemy, I mean that if you think the west is right, then listen to the Russians and don't just base your opinion on one source. Search for their media station and listen to them. For example I'm subscribed to media stations of many countries, I do visit zhihu (Chinese quora), translates their conversations and read what the Chinese are saying themselves.

How can one be well informed, truly educated and current when their reality is by its very design, extremely limited? You speak only one global language (English), listen to only English media sources, and can't hear the perspective of the other side? How much more people in the other side of the world such as the Indian, Chinese, Russians, Papua New guinea?
