.

You're wrong. Stats are very conclusive. If you're not gonna judge a player by his stats, what then are you gonna judge him by?

What you're meant to say is they do not assure or guarantee. They only predict based on past occurrences. That is football. Nothing is guaranteed in football. So saying Dessers didn't score in his first full start makes no sense especially when you see that he scored in his second full start.

I agree with you on your last paragraph. I think his coach sees him as a super sub for when goals are needed.
You have limited understanding ,less knowledge and no experience.

Statistics do not tell you the nature of the unit of measurement. In this regards not all assists, goals , blocks, interceptions, tackles are of the same quality.

This is why a report , sometimes very comprehensive is made about a player by both scouts and analysts which will include watching player's live.

Then the question will be asked can the players attributes and unique skill sets converged and be advantageous to the team. Every team and Manager will have his own requirements.

So my uninformed friend, statistics are just indicative not conclusive.

NFF should barr Eguavoen from granting press interviews.

His utterances leave much to be desired.

With how expectant we all are for the match against Ghana....I hate the fact that Egu is still obess with the whole 1994 eagle's talk. Read an article where he said we don't have midfielders like Oliha and Adepoju currently...

Like... what's wrong with this guy... this is 2022 for God's sake
Hmmm.

I'd advise you watch the game with less excitement to manage your expectation.
The game can go either ways.

Besides Eguavon doesn't seem to inspire much confidence after throwing away that cheap game to Tunisia.

It's not all about playing exciting attacking football. Rather it is about knowing what to expect from each opponent and how to react to the game effectively.

Douglas Luiz is not better than ndidi ,ndidi is valued at 60 million euros by transfermkt while Douglas luiz is valued at 35 million euros

Ndidi has always done better than Douglas luiz in the epl and your British media rates him ahead of Douglas ,google and co is there for you to make your research

Villa main priority is to pay Barca for coutinho and ndidi isn’t interested in moving there in any way ,Wijnaldum was outstanding for Newcastle as an AM and so do ndidi over the years as a DM

Anguissa is bigger than Fulham ,he is not a championship player ,he has done well for better teams like Napoli and Villarreal
Although Anguissa is supposedly a DM his offensive contribution is suspect. After 61 games not even one goal for Fulham. Even the assists are not outstanding.

However, he has a way of driving his team forward and therein is one of his main attributes. Fulham fans podcast doesn't rate him highly.

I did not say Ndidi is better than Douglas Luiz or vice versa. However, I did say he plays for Brazil and is getting a lot more transfer attention from clubs than Ndidi at the moment , WHY ❓

Ndidi did not get any offers direct to the club that Leicester rejected. On the other hand Aston Villa rejected a £30 million bid for Douglas Luiz.

Usually the market is an indicator of how well you are doing.

Lol. So you rate championship over eredivisie?? Are you the EFL Public relations officer? Damn. Dessers has been better than all those guys you listed above for the past 3 seasons. Dessers is consistent.
Outside of Ajax , I rate the championship either on par or better.

They've done it in the past, and he's doing it now. We aren't saying he's Messi or Henry. But since he's doing it now, then he's not average. You even classed him alongside them already. That sums it up enough.

Nobody has hyped him on this thread beyond his heroics. The ones we hype currently, let them do what he's doing in the EPL then we can relegate him. Till then, guy's deserving.

Chai. Amazed
He's not in the class of yakubu or Osaze who many consider average at their time. Dennis is just an average player with 9goals in 27 games which is the first in his entire career.

Unfortunately only Nigeria and Cameroon has squad list from the 10 teams playing next week.

It's an African thing. Like the Ghanaians said, they want to surprise their opponents

YNWA

Next is Watford. Come and collect

And lest I forget, Ghana for the win

We have a coach too hung up on the past. Even if we qualify, we will have a disastrous tourney as usual

Go and look at all of Awoniyi 12 goals in the Bundesliga this season and compare them to Osimhen 7 goals.

And then think who will have greater impact in the SE.
Osimhen has 10 goals in 18 appearance for the super eagles.. He also got into the team before Awoniyi.. So what the hell does your last paragraph mean? Are you suggesting that Awo should be tried as our first choice striker ahead of Osimhen just because he is outscoring him at club level?

Anybody that has Dstv can tune in to ESPN to watch championship games.. .. The only thing they have there is money..The quality of football is poor..That's why most championship level teams like Norwich, Watford, West Brom and recently Fulham don't last in the EPL..... How can such teams be on par with Europe top tier leagues?

I am still trying to understand what is wrong in a coach looking for players that suit his philosophy.

It should impress people to note that the coach believes the team can improve and is still searching for the right players to suit what he has in mind.

The Brazilians still rave about the squad that had Socrates and Zico. A lot of Brazilian coaches use that pattern of play as a template for their teams.

So I wonder why Eguavoen looking for midfielders with the quality of Oliha and Adepoju bothers people.

For me, I find it interesting and would like to look into what made these players special.
