Are they not tired of the same sermon every election period. Youth of Nigeria, we are majority. Lets do the needful. It is now or never. With the current situation, Nigeria will not survive another four years of misrule. |

perrymike:Yes and the only man that turn the fortune of the only state he governed around for good. We know for Enron IPP, for leading the fight for true federalism defeating the FG at Supreme Court, led the VAT to state issue etc. We know him for staying with one party when he has more to gain by joining the ruling party |

Dsalvo:If this is all true then why should anyone back a losing horse since Mr Buhari is likely to 'push him away' from the 2023 race. You see. The truth is that Mr. Tinubu has help foist and sustain such a terrible system that it threatens to eat him up as well. I still want to see how he will extricate himself from the political tragedy of the past 7 years while at the same time 'not stepping on toes' as he is apt to remind. And though I have said in the past that he should distance himself from the administration to gain some moral traction, I am not sure that gate remains open at this stage when things have a taken a serious turn for the worse. To be speaking of electricity reforms in the midst of perhaps the worst energy crises in living memory as a leading figure in the ruling party.....hmmm... is provocative. Mr Tinubu should have distanced himself from this goverment a much longer time ago and chipped in some criticism here and there to prove that his will be different. |

1nigeriamyfoot:If you cannot be fair and objecrive towards others, even if you hate them, then perhaps you are not a good or progressive-minded person at all. Everyone knows that Buhari pushed Tinubu away and shut him out to embrace an 'inner crew' he took advice from and relied on exclusively like the deceased Abba Kyari who was former chief of staff to Buhari. I despair when I read your sort of opinion because it confirms most Nigerians are just sectionally biased folks only keen to give a dog a bad name justify their ill will towards said Dog. What others are innocent of you will proclaim them guilty over just because you have your bias against them. Truth is that Nigeria would be better if Buhari was willing to work with and listen to the likes of the brilliant Tinubu rather than reject them in favour of the likes of Abba Kyari, Malami, Buni etal who will tell him what he wants to hear that will usually be against the best interest of Nigeria. |

Dsalvo:I suspect this 'Buhari pushed him away' will be the lifeline of the Tinubu candidacy going forward.... And the facts of which will be the battle ground. Because, believe you me. It will be a tough, tough battle to separate and distance himself from this government. |

Igbofam:I disagree with tinubu. Even though he is right that electricity is crucial for economic development, it is not the most important. The most important impediment for national development is manpower. By manpower I mean practical education that provides the necessary knowledge and skills for economic activities and production. Our universities and polythechnics chunning out paper graduates with no practical or employable skills cannot develop a nation. Even if the government generates 1000Gw of electricity, they will only use it to DSTV, YouTube and for play. Besides generating, transmitting and distributing electricity is very expensive and most Nigerians cannot afford to pay the right price for electricity and hence many people, especially businesses bypass despite electricity still being subsidized by government. With adequate sound technical education and skill, Nigerians in collaboration with government can find other power sources - Gas, solar, wind, hydro, etc. An innovative government can power gas that is being wasted to our homes and offices for us to use ti generate out own electricity. There are many solutions to power, we just need innovative graduates and technicians. |

I still dont believe that people still rant unintelligently saying his desperation for power is topnotch. How is he desperate of power? this is the man that have left office as a governor since 2007 and while his colleagues who started together has jump from one political appointment to another up till date but Asiwaju never did that but instead he was establishing and producing men of distinguished politician and he even assigned himself a National leader of APC that the party or the constitution does not recognised. Please if you want to criticise do that constructively. My one cent |

1nigeriamyfoot:You're talking more rubbish trying to defend your original flawed stance and utterances. If Tinubu does not work for Buhari’s second term then what happens to APC and the notion the Party must retain ruling Status to always be in the position to improve Nigeria? Are you 5 years old to not understand the need for individuals to work for the greater good of the institution? As far as "sharing" his opinion in national dailies, Tinubu does that regularly. Perhaps you missed it from being too busy reading romance and gossip blogs. Below is a report from a national daily in 2020. Talk better bro as it is obvious now you're an ignorant mischief-maker plus a sectionally biased and/or ethnocentric critic of BAT. Perhaps you should "tell us another joke plz". https://tribuneonlineng.com/tinubu-fayemi-advocate-devolution-of-power-state-police-to-tackle-nigerias-challenges/

wirinet:You are putting the cart before the horse. Stable electricity first which would in turn drive industrialization. This would create a massive need for a qualified workforce (be they practical or paper qualified as you put it) The work force is already there, the condusive environment is what is missing. Why do you think these same Nigerians relocate abroad to do same things Nigeria has not created a conducive environment for which in turn would have made it easier for them to stay in Nigeria? Electricity first! |

xpressionx:Fashola, Minister of Darkness that was running his mouth tatatata when Goodluck was in power. Fashola said he will fix Nigerian power issue in 6 months, it took him 4 years to install one transformer until Buhari saw his failure and removed him from that ministry. Nigeria's problem is tribalism, religious division which divides Nigerians and make patriotism and selfless service a missing ingredient in the Nigerian dish. I see no positive change coming until they completely restructure Nigeria to function as independent regions based on the different tribes and religious that make up Nigeria. This or total disintegration is what will give Nigeria some iota of change |

Parachoko:States can solve their own power needs if they want to. They don't just have the will to do it. Check out the concurrent legislative list. Power isn't on any exclusive list. Where did I say you should stop voting? But you can't get anything right when you keep falling for the same scam time and time again. That's my point. Tinubu has so much influence from his holdings together with his and his wife political standing. If he really cares about all these stuffs he has highlighted he would have made attempts and efforts to fix them by now. But no he is waiting to become President first to do it. And you think when he gets there he will do anything? |

Igbofam:Are you sure you understand the English language? You are seeing lack of patriotism again and still saying that I moved my position. Lack of patriotism means that all (both government officials and ordinary people) don't love the country. They would rather steal to destroy your country for their selfish gains than make efforts to see it grow economically. If you don't understand it with this simple explanation, there's nothing else I can say. |

Everyone keeps blaming Tinubu for Buhari's failure , forgetting You may recommend a colleague for a job doesn't mean he'd take your advices, select his team and use your tools to execute it. He has started putting out his manifestos watch out how Tinubu campaign will bring about thoughtful debates and sensitize the polity . This won't be a normal attacking the opponents kind of campaign but opposing the policy as we are already seeing on this thread. |
