Long Time No See guys!

Woke up to an ITA yesterday! After a four month wait coupled with googling other "japa" alternatives should this not work.
I wasnt sure what the cut off would be but my 481 felt comfortable. I needed that ITA before I lose 5 points in September - God came through.
Well, started tidying all my documents. And yes I pushed my vacation dates to begin August because I was hoping the draws would resume then but July it was!
I have to book a date for medicals and I'm excited about going Lagos after a year and five months.

Work has also been ok. Challenging, suspenseful but ok. Working from home is tiring. Nobody to tease, gist or play with. I pray we see the end of Covid soon. Heart goes out to people who have suffered/ lost jobs during this unfortunate pandemic.
I am just grateful.

My people. Its been 1 year and 8 months since the last update - boy has it been a ride. I submitted the application July of 2020 and then total silence due to international travel ban and what not.

After absolutely no contact from IRCC 1st half 2021, my medical result expired June 2021. The instruction was to wait to obtain new medical instruction from IRCC or otherwise get an automatic extension (which is good for cash saving) - so your boy kept waiting. At this point I knew all my submitted docs would have expired.

To be frank, I lost hope on this journey. I was filled with so many emotions at the same time.
I was even close to processing Portugal or UK save for cash - speaking of cash, so along the end of Dec 2020, I lost a considerable sum of money about 2.5 in a terrible investment. I bin dey even shame to tell person lol. Money wey no even dey.

Till date, Ive still not recovered from it but just so you get the idea of how 2021 felt for me. I got friends who I started the waka with leaving for other countries. It all looked funny - at a time i asked myself if this is Australia happening again Loool. A total of four comrades left Naij while my app had no direction.

Anyways, I couldn't hold it anymore at the eight month especially when I saw more recent candidates applications approved.
I presented myself for another medicals (46k) March 10 2022 along with Police character certificate in Alagbon. Immediately i was on time off, travelled down to lagos on a very tight budget so GIGM was the choice (bros airline is 100k return)
Got to lagos at night, crashed in my friend's crib - I couldn't go to my parent's because marriage talk would have ended me.

I had the new medical sheet uploaded same day.
The next day 11th March, I got a document request for Schedule A (practically explaining where you'd been in the past 10 years) which I submitted 13th March.

Brethren, I got the Ready For Visa email today 22nd March 2022. I've been playing gospel music since.

Now I'm prepping to process the passport for stamping. I'll drop update. Hope yall have been A+

Congratulations on your PPR man!!
To be honest, your travel diary motivated and inspired me to start mine too.
The whole time you went AWOL, I thought you had probably gotten PPR, moved to Canada and gotten busy with life hence forgetting your diary on here

I recently got PPR too and expecting my passport back from Accra any time soon.

Please keep updating us and don’t leave us hanging again, your fans plenty, lol.

Congrats again.

Submitted my passport at DHL 23rd March. Its pretty much another waiting game now.
Already flinging some of my personal belongings.

Using one eye to look at them at work although I'm still at my best behavior considering I might work a couple more months for more bread.

Stay Scheming guys!

Re: Travel Diary by annex1: 5:45pm On May 04, 2022
Country people,

I received a call today and before the caller could introduce, I asked DHL?
He responded, yes! And then my heart was filled with joy!
I left office immediately - said I was feeling weak.

Received my stamped passport and some other documents hours ealier after exactly 6 weeks.

Also bought a box today - never used my cash to get one ever.

Hi all.

Yesterday approximately 7:45am Canada time ended my watch on Canada immigration and this thread.

I arrived MMA 10am 9th June with my parents and sister, I had already made photocopies of all required documents a day prior because of cut throat prices for same at the airport.
Checked in my baggage (2 boxes) which was lesser than the 23kg - I didn't carry any foodstuff.
Took pictures with family and saw them off.

Walked back to departure lounge for immigration and customs check - this was a breeze and I didn't drop a dime. I got my body spray thrashed from my hand luggage, I forgot to check it in my luggage.

Waited for boarding and departed with EgyptAir around 2PM WAT.
Food on board was acceptable as well as in-flight entertainment. Landed Cairo 8pm and had a 5 hour layover at the airport.
Cairo airport is COLD so I unleashed my thick covers and slept for a bit. Around 1am we began boarding fo Toronto on a much bigger flight with Caucasians.
Flight took off around 2 am and we landed Canada 7:45 am 10th June.

On landing i proceeded to Immigrations, was asked a couple of questions and heard the soothing words; welcome to Canada!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Got my luggage, changed just 100usd at the airport due to their bad exchange rate. 1.09 cad to a dollar.
I also got a prepaid line at the airport and hiked a cab to my residence also in Missisauga.
Once I dropped my luggage, I made way to the bus park to get to a bank TD Canada Trust to open an account. I was told in an extremely rude way that I need to book an appointment to do that even after pleading that I'm just landing.

Oh well, I got lost after that, trekked a great deal then found my way to a mall - Square One
As fate would have it, there happened to be another TD bank there as well.
I go in and met with a much nicer dude who opened the account for me and changed my remaining usd at 1.22 rate.

He also advised me on cheap stores to buy groceries and stuff. I got my debit card as well.

Guys, I'm now looking for a job and goodwill. Canada is beautiful with a lot of people willing to assist - never be afraid to seek assistance.
Its also cold here cause as I've heard its Summer so its mild - now just feels like naija December harmattan.
I got a few pics - I don't do much pictures. Thanks for all your support and prayers from the inception of this thread.
Pictures attached are my final view at MMA2, chippings and in an flight entertainment in the plane (saw my favorite move MATRIX again)
Then final view of Toronto while descending.
