A corps member, Chidimma Simeon has called out the Lagos arm of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) for not allowing her to partake in the three weeks orientation exercise at the camp after registration, Siggy reports.

According to Chidimma, she was asked to leave the camp because she is married.

Some online users didn't believe her, however, a lady identified as Omowunmi Boluwatife said that she and other married women in Batch A were also rejected.

It's a normal thing for nysc to send married and pregnant women back home after registration. Nysc believes they have responsibilities to perform at home and the environment with stress in the camp is not meant for a pregnant woman.

I lost respect for married women when I experience what they did at my orientation camp 2011. I was picking free wedding ring on the field like 4. Abi nah used condoms wey litter everywhere for the camp.

It's appalling.

Most of this unfaithful married women will go there and sleep with young bachelors....a good development by NYSC At times to be baby father good self without marriage

It's like NYSC has gotten enough complains about married women and their unending sexual lust after young male corpers.. she should go home and be with her husband till she gets PPA unless she has something else in mind.

The temptation for them sef is always too much.. the mr macho and other activities in orientation camp will be leaving them aroused and all. All they need do is remove their wedding rings and blend with camp fun seekers.

some people can cause confusion, madam they did not reject you, its just a privilege given to the married women so as for them......

I feel it's a better decision for them, plz how abt nursing mothers and when will they call them back after their registration? How abt their PPA?

They will be allowed to leave immediately after their registration and they don't call them back at all, their ppa will be posted online on their dashboard and their entitlement will be sent to them through bank.

So it means they won't be taking part in the swearing in ceremony.

How would they collect their local transport and bicycle allowance?
