Spent the whole of 2018 applying to Australia. Never got an ITA owing to high demand of my occupation but kept hoping.
Sometime in 2019, my oga talked to me about Canada, told him I was still hung on Oz. He dashed me 40k to begin my ECA.

AOR: Aug 8th 2020

Hello,
I hold a Masters degree and I have 5+ years of work experience.
I have a band 9/10 (CLB 10) in IELTS
I have 478 EE profile points (Profile expires June 2022)

However, I haven't been able to work around PNP.

I'd appreciate all the help I can get righ

Have you explored each of the PNPs in detail? That is your best bet since their criteria are so different. You could also try the New Brunswick info session link that was posted some pages back.

Thank you very much for the pointers.

Yeah, study route is expensive but seem to be the surest way to get out of this country this year, not ready to wait another year. Yes, I'm going for an advanced degree (PGC). I have no choice, already paid my tuition @ international student rate... There are a few other options to PR once one lands via study route, a lot easier from there.. Thanks again.

100% agree. Best option for anyone who must leave Naija this year and has the money to pay for it, for these reasons:

1. The time spent in Canada starts counting somewhat towards citizenship.
2. There is also the possibility of more pathways for temporary residents e.g. TR2PR type schemes
3. When FSW reopens you could also still benefit from that (assuming you are already in the pool) and at completion, your Canadian degree should augment your CRS even further.
4. PNP options for graduating from a Uni in a Province or for living in a Province.

....so nothing lost IMO. Shoot your shot!

Best.

Does it mean these information sessions NB holds actually increases ones chance of getting LOI from the province. I got a mail from them on the 19th for Info sessions for those in IT sector holding tomorrow, one in April and a third in May 2022.
Hi, how did you get the email ? did you previously register on their website ? Thanks

I haven't opened this thread in about 2-3 weeks and I'm surprised at the number of pages I have to read but I'm still reading. One thing that caught my attention is the processing time for people that got their invitation to apply last year, from their PPR testimonies, their processing time took less than 10 months and I'm shocked as well as extremely happy. I'm now very hopeful

For people that got ITA late last year, processing time is now at 4 months, sometimes less. Many November AOR have gotten PpR already and a few December as well.

how did you send your passport to London VO?

Please if you find out. Let me know.

I have the address and the fees.

Seems it i listed this way

Please be informed that you can send your passport through the authorized courier only (DHL, Royal Mail, UPS, etc.).

The package must contain:
1. Your original Passport or copy of your passport (please check what is required in your Passport Request Letter) ;
2. The Passport Request Letter and documents required in it.
3. VFS Consent Form – signed and duly completed for the authorized courier company (attached).
4. Payment confirmation for Service charges:

One-way courier
For One-way courier:

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 outbreak, all passports will only be returned using the courier services offered by the Visa Application Centre.

The Visa Application Centre is offering courier services at a discount of 10% on the courier prices listed in the pricing table on this website. This discounted rate will only be available from 27 Jul 2020 until further notice during which time, the 10% discounted price for courier services will be 18.35 GBP (within the UK) and 74.00 GBP (outside the UK).

Package transmission fee (if applicable per applicant) – 16.15 GBP.
The package transmission fee is applicable if you have not provided biometrics for this application at Canada Visa Application Centre, London.
If you have provided biometrics there will be a white sticker attached to the back of your passport.
In the event, that you do not have that evidence that the biometrics were provided at the London centre, you need to pay 16.15 GBP as a package transmission fee (service charge) on top of your courier fee.

Following up by the link you will find information regarding VFS services: VFS services

Fees can be paid by bank transfer in favour of “VF Services UK Ltd Canadian Embassy ” and fees must be in GBP only.

Here are the details for bank transfer:

Bank Account name – VF Services UK Ltd Canadian Embassy

Bank name– HSBC Bank plc

BIC/SWIFT Code – HBUKGB4B

IBAN Number – GB20HBUK40024432527812

Sort Code : 40-02-44

Account Number : 32527812

Visa Application Centre, 66 Wilson Street, London, EC2A 2BT, UK

So in essence you are to pay 16.15 GBP per applicant. So if you have 3 passports. I guess that's *3 . We need to confirm this.

Also you pay 74.00 GBP for return outside the UK (please note this does not cover Nigeria) just Norway, Denmark and Sweden and need to sign the consent form for Authorised courier company or your Family friend that would pick up.

Please if anyone has an idea, i'm trying to figure out the NOC that would go for a bank's Cash officer. I don't have full access to the person's JD so i'm just trying to get an idea.

I'm aware they're basically incharge of tellers/cashiers, handle cash counting, atm loading, authorise transactions and balance registers, etc etc. I know there's more but just point me in the direction i can look. thanks

Pls double check before you pay, I'm not sure that London VFS "outside UK courier" covers Nigeria, I believe it's only for some select countries in Europe....unless there has been a change.

I think they can return your package to an address in the UK that's the "within UK one-way courier" (your friend or family can later send it to you). Also DHL are probably allowed to collect from London like they do for Cairo but not 100% sure....you may have to still pay transmission fee as well as one way courier...I have no personal experience with this though so I may be wrong....hopefully those who do will help out.

The person needs to go to the link below and just keep searching, most of the NOCs I saw with cash handling seem to be NOC C and D. You could also search NL to see which options others with similar duties have used.

Hi everyone. I need your help so I'm going to keep it short.
I started my PR journey in 2019 and got AOR in March 2021, I added my spouse later in the year and didn't get a feedback from ircc, I got tired of the entire silence from ircc and opted for UK study visa.

I got a mail from ircc regarding addition of spouse few days before leaving Nigeria, my husband and I are presently in the UK but I'll like to continue with the process. He has done his medicals since last year but didn't do his police report.

We do not have the finances too as we spent more on this UK route, is there a way to go around it? Are we going to need additional POF for unnaccompany spouse?
The mail pointed that there is no need to pay for application fee and one other fee for him if he isn't coming to Canada yet.

I just want to see if I can get the PPR first and add him later on, since we do not have the finances to proceed.

Pls read here. My understanding: if you have added spouse to your application, he will need to do medicals, PCC and you will need to provide updated POF for family of 2 at some point, whether or not he is accompanying.

I'm not sure there is an option to add him later...you don already marry smiley.....he just won't be accompanying you to Canada.

My advise: take it one step at a time, provide what they have asked for in the letter/email you got and see how it goes.....I'm not sure how you will get around the finances part though except you get a gift.

see attached for what was requested from my vo. along with this i did PCC and upfront medicals.

For upfront medicals, either book online or visit IOM Abuja to get an appointment. on the day just go with your international passport as well as any medications/glasses currently in use. Also take any referral letters that may be asked for. Once done, upload e medical sheet via webform along with other documents for spouse addition.

Thanks for your response. I appreciate
