She left just one out of 19 pieces of fish The girl no do well at all. Being a food vendor, the mother would be so annoyed. But this is a show of wickedness & not a punishment.

Meanwhile, she admitted that when it happened, the child had not eaten, which means she must have been hungry

Very delicate matter, the mother definitely overreacted but can we really blame her? What's her level of education? If she had to sell fish for living surely that means income is very very low, add that to frustration of having to do it alone and what do you get? This!

Now the yeye government and NGOs did not see her when she was suffering, they did not notice the children and their malnourished bodies but once wahala happens, na to throw the parent behind bars and take away the children. I just hope they temper justice with mercy because no woman would willingly want to harm her child. She's definitely regretting her actions now and the best thing for her is rehabilitation.
