I think this is signs in the heavens, as the word states. Not the darkening of the sun verse. That day will be more frightening. Total eclipse for days. Science will as usual still come up with a reason and name for it when it happens. Lol

People are using the gravitational pull of the sun to launch satellites into orbit around distant planets, or using the curved design of wings to fly across oceans, and some are still doing "signs and wonders".

I would rather continue in my ignorance of sacred texts that have no practical use for humanity, apart from slight bemusement at the arrogance all religions (past and present) have had. Every religion till now has eventually been abandoned. Yours is no different, I'm afraid.

you might be right bit did you calculate the distance of sun to the earth 149.2 million km right? And also it depends on the intensity of the explosion.

The "little" nuclear explosions from the Sun that you feel as heat today... if all that energy was to be dissipated at once, all planets in this solar system will be vaporized. Apparently, to survive a supernova, you have to be 50 light-years away. Earth is 8.3 light-minutes from the Sun.

We won't even know for 8 minutes after it had happened... that's how long it will take for the explosion to reach us, and for the information about its gravity to stop affecting us. But within 1 minute of us being aware, we'd be dead.
