Banners, posters and billboards of key political figures believed to have an interest in picking the presidential ticket of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) are placed in strategic places in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja on Saturday.

Daily Trust reports that the personalities whose pictures were displayed conspicuously in the banners, posters and billboards included the APC National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a former governor of Rivers State and incumbent Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

One of the banners showing the minister along Umaru Musa Yar’adua Expressway read: “Amaechi: Our Hope 2023”.

The billboards of Tinubu, Osinbajo, and Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State can be seen along the Airport Expressway together with the APC national chairmanship aspirants, including Abdulaziz Yari and Senator Sani Musa (Niger East).


The billboards of former governors of Nasarawa State, Senator Abdullahi Adamu and Senator Tanko Al-Makura, as well as those of the Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Senator George Akume; a former deputy national chairman of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), Saliu Mustapha, were placed in other strategic locations in the territory.

GYB has a lot of controversies surrounding him, from that percentage pay for teacher to many others,

I would have loved it to be Osinbajo and Peter Gregory Obi, but I don't know how people would see it

1) if Osinbajo is elected president while Obi a former governor is vice.
2) if Peter Obi is elected president while Osinbajo a former vice president becomes vice again.

But the best permutations I can think of now is Peter Obi and Fashola.

Nigerians would reject that 'teamup'..because both of them are 'corrupt' (Fashola and the 78million naira website, and Obi Pandora.).

But imperfections aside, it's a dream matchup.

Osinbajo is the chosen one.Even Tinubu knows and Buhari also knows Nigerians want him over Tinubu or any other candidate.

Only an Osinbajo candidacy can bring victory for APC but with a Tinubu Ticket, PDP will have the easiest win in history.

As for me, I don't think Peter Obi would be rejected in the east neither would Fashola be rejected in the west

Modified my post, but the thing is, Nigerians don't do 'technocrats', whether Northerners or Southerners, unless they ride on the cottails of a big politician. (that's how technocrats like Yaradua and GEJ got in...and Yaradua had the advantage of coming from a well known political family)

When it's election/campaigning time, every politicians claims to have Igbo connection by attaching Igbo name to their names, wearing Igbo native isi-agu with it's cap and getting our umuada as concubines/wives.

No matter who una go vote, what I Sha know is that there'll never come a time when Nigeria will be like South Africa. I had to mention an African country to be fair.

When the foundation of a building is wrong/faulty, no amount of yearly or monthly renovations will correct that.

Solution to a faulty building foundation is to either manage the building and wait for the day it will collapse and kill you, or simply vacate the building, demolish it and rebuild it.This is the case with Nigeria.
