As rumors continue to gather momentum that Amaechi is the candidate anointed to clinch APC ticket, then it shows that PDP would have to change their plans accordingly if they want to have any chance.

Once Amaechi is made the flag bearer of APC, Buhari and his people would be aiming to achieve two things:

1. Ensure that power rotates and a Southerner would succeed him to promote stability.

2. By choosing Amaechi, Buhari would be compensating him for the role he played in his emergence while at the same time hoping that Igbos would be placated with the argument that Amaechi is Igbo.

These points above have nullified any move by PDP to nominate a Northerner as its flag bearer. Any attempt by PDP to bring a Northerner at this point would make them severely unpopular and the party would be seen as selfish, unprogressive and anti-Nigeria. Therefore, PDP would have no choice than to bring not just a Southerner but also an Igbo man who is popular as a counter force.

At this point in time, no other candidate would be best suited for PDP than Peter Obi and here are the reasons why only him can defeat Amaechi in a free and fair presidential election come 2023:

1. Peter Obi is loved by the elite; the major reason why Atiku was able to enjoy the support of the elite was because he chose Obi as his Vice. The elite in Lagos, Abuja and all over Nigeria would prefer Obi to Amaechi because they feel he is prudent, not corrupt, and business minded unlike Amaechi that is a typical Nigerian politician.

2. While Amaechi publicly and unabashedly admitted that Nigeria collected Chinese loans without understanding what was written in the agreement before signing, Obi on the other hand is a thorough bred financial analyst who would always consider short, medium and long term effects of any loan or policy before going ahead with it.

3. The Osborne towers, Ikoyi scandal is still fresh in our memories and the open secret was that Amaechi was the person behind it. Everyone already knows that Nigeria is in a precarious position in terms of its finances therefore, someone like Obi is no doubt 100% better suited than Amaechi.

Aside the facts listed above. PDP should also ensure that a very popular candidate from the NW is made to be Obi's Vice. Now here is how the regions would likely vote should the two candidates emerge for both parties:

1. South West; although there would be voter aparthy in this region due to the treatment meted out on Tinubu. His large supporters would rather not vote or even vote for PDP in protest. Also, considering the anger brought about by suffering and hunger, voters here would rather vote for PDP than APC in the ratio of 60/40.

2. South East; based on certain factors I wouldn't mention now, this region would vote overwhelmingly for Obi and PDP in the ratio of 90/10.

3. South South; many would expect that being Amaechi's home region that he would get block votes but that won't be the case because it's ethnically heterogeneous. Folks in cities like Asaba, Uyo, P.H etc. may even vote for PDP than APC because aside PDP being dominant here, Obi is also believed to be a better candidate. PDP will win 60/40 against APC.

4. North; how the 3 regions of the North would vote depends on who emerges as the vice president of both parties. Abuja would definitely go for Obi/PDP and to an extent North Central. The Buhari factor is no longer influential like it used to be and many are hungry and hopeless, and they believe that APC is responsible for their situation.

Leviticus 4:2 NKJV
https://bible.com/bible/114/lev.4.2.NKJV

Let's Pray,
Dear Heavenly Father, we bless Your holy name, for allowing us to see another amazing day, thank you for another opportunity to learn from you. Father we humbly ask for Your guidance, send to us the Spirit of Truth which will lead us into Your truth to our sanctification and overall benefit. Above all Father, let Your will be done.
Thank You, for You have answered, we pray in the name of Jesus our Lord.

Dear Followers of Christ,
Many people sin willingly and consciously using the justification that God will forgive them, well they may not necessarily be wrong, but what do the scriptures have to say?
"For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries.
"
Hebrews 10:26-27 NKJV
In the old testament, sin offerings were majorly for unwillful sins. Willful sins have a fixed and definite punishment which will come upon the sinner in full major.
I believe this knowledge will help.
Peace

Politics is about selfishness, sentiment, betryal and above all winner takes it all.

So all what u penned down here is inconsequential, whoever gets the pdp ticket will be accepted by everyone who thinks there must be power change to put Nigeria on the path of progress.

What we just witnessed in the last 6+yrs is something the isrealites experienced while in egypt.

If Amaechi gets APC ticket the north will give him plenty of votes because he has done a lot for them at the expense of his own region. The South-South will not vote for him because he basically did nothing for them and PDP rules that region.

SW and SS in particular will never vote Amaechi because he is one of the masterminds of the Water Resources Bill that aims to take watersides from the states and place it under FG control. SE of course can never vote for him no need delving into details

I believe the real game plan is for APC to fly a southerner to cushion the agitation for a southern presido while Atiku will emerge as PDP card bearer. Atiku will definitely win. By so doing they will achieve two things
1.control agitation for southern presido
2. Still retain power by the Northerners

Northerners are not wired like that; they would do that if there isn't any northerner contesting.

Even Jonathan did more for the northerners, and they still ousted him.

this analysis of yours is tribalism and ethnicity driven making its end result poor.

your analysis on Yoruba's is poor, most Yoruba's are woke and not tribe, ethnic or party driven like you guys think.

you don't feed on what get on nairaland to judge the Yoruba's. for Yoruba's majority will prefer an Osinbajo candidacy to any other.

forget our political oba's endorsing tinubu, no one give a damn about him (though not speaking the mind of everyone). may his followers, the political jobbers and mc oluomo factors.

pair an amaechi and a tinubu to contest side by side during an election, the former has gotten my vote before even going to the polls.

I gladly welcome an amaechi if apc isn't giving us Osinbajo for presidency. for sure he would get the vote from the north ahead of obi.

on obis integrity, it's all a wash what guys are saying but won't to talk more, except obi is an alien politician and not a Nigerian politician!?

It does not invalidate my point. One Nigeria is become another code name for Igbo lack of self-belief in themselves. Nobody else is interested in this mixing. And people can see through the Igbo dilemma particularly since the hideous Buhari dealt the psychological blow of dot in the circle on Ndigbo. Igbos have been Unity Beggars since "Dot In The Circle."
