How much can I thank you @cameroncucumber! It's crazy, my spouse went to NIS Ibadan today and came back with the passport.

Till Saturday evening, our contact was still saying it hasn't gotten to our turn. I only told my madam not to mention her plan to go to Ibadan to him. She got there around 10am this morning. Then she looked around for those younger officers who she begged and tipped. As in just within 2hrs everything was sorted. It was like a dream o, mehn...

Don't waste your time,it will only come at that date or a little earlier, depending on where you captured

Change of name due to marriage. My maiden name is Orimolade folasade suzan. So i requested for a Bvn change of name to Folasade Orimolade Oluyemi. Oluyemi is my husband's surname. My NIN name is still Orimolade folasade suzan. Do i need to go ahead and change my NIN name to also reflect my BVN name but i read somewhere that NIN change of name takes time and i need the passport soon. I want Folasade Orimolade Oluyemi on my passport

Are you applying in Lagos, Abuja, ph, Enugu ? Centres where the enhanced e passport has been launched? If yes, u need to go ahead and change you NIN name now. It costs 500 naira.
Go on remita. Look for pay biller. Pay to NIMC 500 naira and fill in the new names due to marriage now. It will direct u to pay thru card m. Pay and print out the proof of remita payment. Take this proof + Sworn Affidavit,Newspaper Extract and Marriage Certificate (in cases of marriage) to NIMC office and do change of name. Start now. It could take up to 3 wks to relfect. Newspaper extract and sworn affidavit must tally with the new name

I did mine in Enugu and collected the following week, i paid nd captured same day. But the rate of corruption is so much there.

Finally collected my passport. I started the process around middle Dec last year! Didn't know it would take so much time but I am glad I just received it on Saturday yesterday! I did change of date of birth! I had to travel to Abuja for capture.

Started my passport application since early November last year. I was given a tracking number on 9th of November and that was when I also did my capturing. It was just last week Friday I got a message of successful application and prior to that I was checking the status in the immigration office it they always say it's not ready and it reads (AA) AFFIX APPROVE even though I don't know what that means but it's been like this for over 1 month now and from the day of my application it's already over 4 months and even the servicom only told me to just go and keep waiting.

I am based in Lagos ..I had to travel to Abuja for capture and other process.. then came back to Lagos .. even it should have been ready since last month but their was a space in-between my surname which is not supposed to be then it was later corrected . Now I just received it few days back at cargo station OPP local airport Lagos .. so it took about ,let's say 3 and half month ..

You can apply online and put NIS gwagwalada as your capturing center.

Use Saana pay,choose pay at the bank as stated on the portal,all you need to do from the comfort of your phone is to transfer from your bank account to their account and under 1 minute you will have your receipt email to your registered email and auto update on immigration portal.

Don't waste your money,no one can FasTrack anything,they will promise you,then collect your money and your passport won't be out until the automated date.
