Nigerians said that they don't mind, they prefer their Uzoho that is not a fine boy and will not rub makeup

They trolled that boy so heavily and for what?

Once again, I can point them to the Ghana goalkeeper that was far worse, but look how good he played these two legs? He is not playing in a league as good as Maduka, he was not in the form Maduka was in, yet, he did the business when it mattered

If you leave Nigerians, they would have said "oh, na fine boy, never play him again"

More importantly though, you need people to score goals. That is how you win. Goal keeper error or not, if person no score, you no fit win, and just as with Tunisia, we did not have that with Ghana
Well said. Somehow I'm really not pained with this loss. I don't know why.

The only player I feel so sad for is Osimhen. I really wish there was a way he will go with Ghana sef.

I hope Nigerian fans have seen the importance of good coaches. Pinnick wanted to appoint a coach with proper CV, una no gree.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by drDoom3(m): 8:18pm On Mar 29, 2022
We need to rebuild.

Our goalkeeping department needs an overhaul, we have to scout good keepers and get a proper goalkeeping coach.

At least all these old cargo (Musa, Ighalo and co.) will get cleared out.

We have to remove sentiments from our selections. Guys like Akpoguma should be in the team for example.

We need a coach with a proven record. No more patch patch vibes coaches. Otto Addo had a clear gameplan he trained his players with over both legs, we unfortunately didn't. His plan was clear, use home advantage to press and try to win, away score early and play for a draw. The most important thing is he had his players play as a team, not as individuals. It is shocking that our players cannot link up with each other on the pitch, just a bunch of individuals trying to make something happen.

Look at teams like Ukraine play, you find it hard to single out one player. They attack together, press together, move together. We don't have that and it is painful.

We celebrated having Ghana, we all forgot derbies are the hardest to play.

Nff disrupted everything with Rohr's sack.

Our players are at best above average.

We still don't have a goalkeeper but Uzoho is still the best of them.

These are the truth irrespective whatever stance I had. Until 2026 when I go don born one pikin, I hope we would have learnt.
Uzoho and Maduka are the same side of a coin.

Semi Ajayi grew up understanding the basics of football from football academies in England.. he is not the same as Shehu that is in the team based on the amount of northern Nigerians in the team when Alhassan Yussuf is there but wasn't called up...

Rohr has to go, there is nothing to regret about it. Rohr tried but he's exhausted tactically. What's the Essence bokoraharam football when we aren't parading Bandits as Players.

We missed out, fine. Let's start afresh with Amuneke. Capital No to foreign Coach.
Rohr had to go but Amunike? No way, just hire a decent foreign coach. That Cameroon coach will be fine

Rorh qualified us for every damn tournament even before playoffs
I was one of those who wanted rohr out and I stand by it. But I remember an interview rohr had with a Nigerian journalist just before the Russia world cup, he lamented about the lack in depth and quality of the national team. This has been our bane and it keeps showing all the time.

A typical Nigerian side should have both physicality and technical prowess which you see in other top African sides but missing in our darling super eagles. How can we win big games? I never believed in all these foreign born players. Apart from Victor Moses with his physical prowess which the entire world knows what have these other foreign born offered the National team? It's time we have akpu bred players with skills back in our national sides, unless we are joking

Seriously , I now believe there is something very wrong with Nigeria. Nigeria is a failed state . This is beyond tactics and all that. How can a team like this loose to Ghana. See that ghananian coach is a tactician. Kudos Ghana.

Semi would have been a much better sub than Shehu.

1. More of a threat from set-pieces
2. Better passing
3. Stronger physically

No local coach again until after the 2026 world cup if S.E qualifies.....

Nigeria needs an above average spanish or german coach because S.E needs to learn how to pass and build up play...

Kai this is what I really feared. Engaging on this forum has been very exciting to me and people may start leaving now.

I'll be here as long as it's very active, but if it goes dim. I'll walk too sadly.

That's the problem. Making the right tactical decisions.
We are blessed with forwards and we have depth. Starting with Rorh, we should have been building a team that is reliant with forwards not natural wingers. And of course finding the right midfielders to support. Our fullbacks are decent on the flanks.

modified
all our wingers love to do is dribble. Except Dennis and Lookman who are quite new to the team.
yes it all about the tactics, when ighalo came in he freed osimhen and he got a few chances but the crosses too werent good enough

What input did Amunike bring to the team?

We need a total overhauling of the coaching department.

None should be exempted.

Foreign coach MUST BE HIRED.
