Oysters: Shoprite abandoned Nigeria. Multichoice should try it and save us this back and forth. It would not be a bad idea. Quit wherever you feel unwanted. |

lexy2014:I love your analysis but there things you need understand about the price increase. Like the pure water you mentioned, do you know that they use diesel/petrol aside other materials and the price of diesel is about #800/lit. I don't want to start mentioning other factors affecting businesses. Some of the nylons they use among other things are imported and you know how much exchange rate is today. It's not about govt controlling prices because you can't control what you don't have in the first instance. |

christinme224: I'm none of the above. Did you hear that a Spanish businessman who invested about #54million dollars in kebbi state for tomato production ran for his life. There are a lot factors affecting businesses and that's what we should be looking into. |
Re: Tribunal Stops Multichoice From Increasing Tariffs by samguru(m): 3:47pm On Mar 31, 2022 |
This is pure rubbish. Multichoice is a private company and should be allowed to fix the price of her products/services. Who wan tell me say him no know say businesses overhead costs for naija don dey hit roof? See, we deceive ourselves alot in this country, starting from National Assembly compelling Multichoice to introduce pay per view to some people who have gone to court to restrain a private business from fixing the price of her products/services, dont forget the FIRS is still on the neck of the same company for tax compliant issues. These kinds of attitudes will do more damage to the economy of this country and lock foreign investors out of Nigeria market. By the way, did anyone go to court to restrain BRT operator from increasing transport fares? Did anyone go to court to stop the harassments of motorists by the members of NURTW? Has anyone gone to court to sue Federal government for damages on the lives lost in the train attack? Has anyone gone to court to stop Lagos State Government from resumption of toll collections at Lekki Toll gates, knowing fully well that Lagos state government has acquired 100% stake in LCC company. Has anyone gone to court to sue National Electricity Regulatory Agency for increasing power tariff despite darkness everywhere? Well, las las we go pursue Multichoice comot for Nigeria and unemployment rate go shot up as usual and we go now dey access their service through internet with our scarce dollars. Think am ooooo 2 Likes |

richeeyo: I don't support ineptitudeness. Let your govt do what they were elected to do first. A lot of businesses are shorting down because of the same issues. |

Re: Tribunal Stops Multichoice From Increasing Tariffs by lexy2014: 4:18pm On Mar 31, 2022 |
Klington: thanks my brother. fuel/diesel is a constant with all manufacturers so its not just common to pure water manufacturers. lets look at indomie for instance. the packaging used for indomie is more expensive than what is used to package pure water. apart from that, the deisgn cost more unlike pure water that has just one colour on the packaging. indomie consists of several ingredients but water is just water which they get from borehole. even refill for has increased even though its only the water you are buying. but indomie isnt as obsessive with price increase as pure water manufacturers despite having more justification for such |

Jesse25: Go check the cost of doing business in South Africa. Your problem is you allow your emotions to becloud your sense of reasoning. A lot of companies are threatening to shorting down due the harsh reality of what Nigeria has become. Local flights have gone up, bakers are threatening to increase the price of bread. 1 Like |
