troops of Guards Brigade, Nigerian Army yesterday repelled an attack by scores of armed terrorists, who invaded an Abuja community, Gurara, bordering Niger State and the FCT.Brigade of guards are the president's personal military brigade whose constitutional duty is to protect the seat of power as it's last line of defense, this is the first time Brigades of Guard is being used to fight insurgency, even during the civil war they didn't see action...that they are now in action shows Nigeria has completely been over run by these bandits |

Reason why the President quickly approved the complete implementation of the Abuja Security Surveillance System. The ability of the Brigade of Guard to protect Abuja against a military unslaught as of now is doubtful at most. Our security budget is criminally diverted by the top brass in the forces and this is affecting the morale of the officers and men. SarkinYarki: |

The government called them Bandits..... Suffice it to say that what's going on is banditry.... It's not a serious security concern.... They are hungry people looking for means to feed.... All the northern communities and states should contribute alms for them... Afterall Islam recognizes alms giving. Please, deploy ALL the security apparatuses to the South East.... There's massive terrorism worse than Al Qaeda, going on there!!!! Dumb government with their dumb followers!!!! ![]() |

i keep laughing at all my southern brothers investing massively in Abuja... the whole north will be consumed by this bandit and terrorist ish before 2023 buhari has watched a small monster become a 1000 headed hydra that will forever destroy his name and legacy... with millions of almajiris, and porous border and buhari train line linking with other extremely wretched countries like chad, niger republic, the north is done! this is the best time to halt investing in the north...that region is lost...all thanks to their scummy looting family members who had ruled for over half a century and accomplished zero for their people...now the chicken has come home to roost... |

The whole bandit thing I think it's orchestrated and sponsored by Northern elites. I've spent 10 years in the North, the average Hausa man has no interest millions and billions. An average hausa man is concerned with what to eat Today and a little hut to rest his head except for the politicians. This act of kidnappings and ramsons, I find it very difficult to believe someone isn't sponsoring them |

We are all witnessing this shithousery going on in this uncoordinated and lackluster federation. look at how the corruption/embezzlement in the Russian military exposed them in Ukraine, ladies and gentlemen Nigeria is 1000x more corrupt than Russia so how do you think our fragile country is secure? this country is too centralized to perform efficiently. the security of lives and property cannot continue to rely on the intelligence of the Commander in chief who stays in Abuja. The solution to insecurity is to decentralize it sharp sharp. States and local governments should be given enormous budgets to maintain their security. we also need a mass acquisition of surveillance drones that will be operated remotely by young Nigerians, these drones will be used to scan the vast open borders, forests, and major interstate highways, it will be very effective at night too because it can use thermal sensors to find clusters of people. with the edge this provides we can stay up to date with unfolding situations before dispatching well informed operatives into the crises. the drones operating silently from a safe altitude will discourage any mass attack on innocent civillians and prevent abductions and transportation of victims to hideouts. Instead of continuing NYSC we can instead focus on training and sensitizing the young Nigerians into drone pilots and maintainers. the drone and surveillance program should be enacted by the national assembly and be its own independent yet unarmed force.

A nation governed by Terrorists can never make a headway... Never!!! They are just wasting the lives of soldiers and civilians, while stealing the resources of the South to fund their agenda in the far North! |
