Truth be told, Yorubas and some Hausas were the only Nigerians that didn’t take over properties belonging to Igbo people. You have to give it to them for doing the right thing. 1 Like 1 Share |

tollyboy5: You have time for these people o.As if Awolowo was the only one released from calabar prison. It was just 2 days after Gowon became head of state he released him. Awolowo sent letter to Ironsi to take a second look at his imprisonment but no response. Before the Igbo lost power,Why did Ojukwu as the premier, not release Awolowo and his partners when lronsi was the head state |

tommy589: It is either they don't have any idea of history or their parents told them white lies to make sure their offsprings hate Yorubas. Yet Many of them carry out their businesses peacefully and build anywhere in SE without fear or favor. The Head of State then, wasn't blamed but Awolowo who is not the leader of any security or the nation! Jealousy will finish many At least Ojukwus their champion fled with his family and didn't wait to partake of the hardship he brought on his people 1 Like 1 Share |

The lesson here for me is that people should be good to others regardless of their tribe or creed and that this ongoing ethnic cyberspace cold war is immature, unnecessary and a major threat to both national unity and individual progress. 1 Like |

A Yoruba man once came to the South South in search of greener pastures the man as of then came to start a phone repair in Calabar and he didn't have a shop nor a house to pass the night and I met him under a tree close to a phone accessories store where I went to work my phone,he approached me and helped me fixed my phone then he narrated his story and I felt pity, took him home, introduce him to my parents and then we lived together in my room. We were more than friends but brothers cos I'm the only son in midst of four girls, we drink, eat and do girls shit together, we had misunderstanding and make up ASAP. I provided him with a shop to continue his phone repairs FOC and he has never for once pay a rent on the shop, I hustle for admission for him in the university of Calabar and studied Edu Economic. While he was in the university I protected him from joining cultism even do there was a pressure on me to bring him for initiation I keep telling them that it was a mistake that I found my self here and I will never advise or bring anyone to this nonsense and I'm done with cultism after my graduation. He was once beaten and wounded seriously by a soldier in the barracks for coming back late cos we were living inside the barracks and my dad was a senior military personnel and the soldier was court Marshall and demoted. Our friendship started having a question mark when he started associating him self with some Yoruba guys who were lousy, boastful and filled with pride and all those characters irritates me, they were all cultist different from my frag, I was protecting my friend in all cost not to associate him self with cultist of any frag because of the danger it will cost me or him but he started exhibiting some characters strange to me and his fellow Yoruba brothers lured him to initiation one night but God saved him, they had an accident that night, no body sustained any ingury but my friend was on coma, one of them called my phone that night around 1:15am and informed me about the accident and my friends condition, at first I thought it was a trap and put my frag HIT squad on alert, took three soldiers with me and Five police personal. Reaching the scene I saw my friend laying down with his eyes and mouth wide open and he couldn't talk, we rushed him to the hospital that night. I was with him for 3days while the doctors were trying to revive him because he became the hospital MS patient, the MS is our family friend and know this my friend in person, after 3days I called his girlfriend to come and spend few times with him while I rush home to change up, the girlfriend came and I left 20k with her should in case of any emergency payment, I didn't spent up to 30minute at home when I came back to the hospital I didn't find his girlfriend and her phone was switched off, she ran till today. Calls of threat started coming my phone from my friend family members that if I've succeeded in poisoning their son I should bring the corpse to Lagos that somebody called Akin called and told them that their son is at the point of death that the person he's living with poisoned him out of jealousy, akin is the person who took him for initiation. After 12days of coma in the hospital he was transferred to LUTH, I went to the airport that same hour booked for two. At around 5pm we came to the airport, the pilot rejected him saying he's a dead corpse and he can't carry him, everybody pleaded with the pilot but he refused not until other passengers onboard came out of the plane and ask the pilot to fly an empty plane back to Lagos before he accepted but I did a big mistake, I didn't accompanied my friend to Lagos cos of his family threat and the fact that I don't understand Yoruba language, his course mate who is a Yoruba accompanied him. I thank God Almighty the great physician that my friend my brother is healthy and strong and married with kids, I again thank God that my name was the first name he mentioned when he recovered and I was the only person he asked to see before any of his family members, I was so happy when I heard that he has recovered and he wants me to come see him and with joy in my heart I went immediately, when we saw each other we hug and cried so happily in so much that the whole hospital was filled with tears plus his family members and I will never forget the name he called me that day MY TWINS BROTHER FROM ANOTHER MOTHER. I'm sharing this story because of the so much hate thread I've been seeing on NL between the Igbo and Yoruba, this administration of Buhari has input so much bitterness in the mind of many Nigerians which is not good for the future. I am an Igbo man that stand for peace, love, prosperity to anybody and for anybody irrespective of tribe or religion. Please permit my typing or any errors found 8 Likes 2 Shares |
