Some people have problem for every solution. You reject his own suggestion and you couldn’t bring up a better option since you said the one he brought up is not good enough. Now they are blaming each other. At least, if that project was awarded and the attacks still went on to happen, Amaechi and the company will be the ones to blame here but now look at what they are saying. They better find a way to secure those routes

Simply put, buhari is loyal/indebted to Amaechi, so, anything goes.

And so? If the company in question can handle the project, why not give it to them? Besides, the governor of Kano state awarded some contracts to his son's company. Party of complains, terrorists sympathizer, blames and corruption.
Things are not done that way

This is not a project to drill borehole or smaller task project but a sensitive high tech project that requires deep knowledge and experience of the contractor to deliver efficiently

I supported the ruling of the VP

I know and you have a valid point here dear. They are only giving excuses for their failures and using Amaechi as an escaping root dear.

You people are myopic in reasoning.
A shady deal was sighted and acted upon and you feel the VP is at fault but the person who brough the deal is innocent?
Cos Kano state did it means it is the right thing to do ?
You want a country free from corruption and you are still backing corrupt deal just to soil the VP's name.
If this is your conclusion from the whole saga, i think it will take a long time for corruption to die in this country.

My own concern in this issue is why did the Chinese that borrowed us the funds didn't install such an important device before commissioning.

Did they tried installing it and was told not to?

How will Nigeria pay back the loan if the train service is been disrupted.

Nooooo....the contract was not advertised! They just went from the backdoor to get one BPP approval!

Thank God, the VP is not anybody you can just hoodwink into any approval.
Can you prove they went through the back door? Because normally for BPP to give approval it would have went through the normal procurement process. Which means that it would have had to have been advertised.

"The memo said Mr Amaechi informed his colleagues that a certificate of no objection was provided by the Bureau of Public Enterprise to the firm after reviewing the procurement process."

Either way it's all politics at the end of the day. This leaked memo countering Amaechis claim, him also being misquoted about asking Nigerians to contribute to the bombing victims medical bills all point to a coordinated attack on the Honorable Minister.

Some ppl can't own a business or control one.
So when they buy materials, equipment pay salaries, what do u tink will be their profit.
Most of the costuction companies that we have here how many of them have done job of 10billion before federal govt gave them elephant project
And if such contract was awarded and contractor elope with the fund, you still come here and drag Buhari for corruption ?
I want to ask you a question ; Can you give an upcoming engineer who havent handled millions before but very good with his job 80m to build a Duplex for you ? The answer is NO , this is becos you are actually taking a huge risk with someone not tested and trusted. A company of 2 years want a contract of 3billion. At least it should be able to show previous awarded contract that isnt less than 1.5billion.
We have to know when to support good gestures and reject bad ones.
Only then can we move forward as a nation

Funny guy? Do you have evidence for this claim?
For any exemption there must be a definition of "NATIONAL SECURITY CONTRACT" in law

What is the definition of National security contract and where is that gazetted?

Every Ministry can now wake up and say that a Grass cutting contract is for national security?

Why then did he get certificate of no objection from BPE??
following the procurement law?

National security contracts are awarded with no input from National Security Adviser , Ministry of Defence ,Police or any security agency? No input from the attorney General
And a National Security contract is to be awarded by the Ministry of transport??

We all cannot be stupid at the same time. Some of us still have functioning brains

Those animals mess with the people's money. They award contracts in the tune of billions to companies that are not registered and they end up absconding with the money, no contract executed and nobody to hold them accountable. It is a crazy country.
Re: Amaechi Wanted To Give N3.7bn Rail Contract To A Father, Mother & Child by Donaldomo(m): 12:33pm On Apr 02, 2022
If it was not advertised, it went through the backdoor!

That BPP issued a certificate of no objection is one reason to think so, that there were underhand dealings being the whole process. Some persons just wanted to make money out of the country. Ideally, such an important project shouldn't leave any room for questioning.

Unfortunately, there are so many questions about the entire stuff.

How am I sure it wouldn't have ended up like the Abuja CCTV project?!

Oga stop talking like a that. If a budget from the ministry is rejected, wont they go and bring another. Ofcourse the will rush and prepare another one cos its about money.
Therefore, It is also the function of his ministry to keep bringing contract proposals since the initial one was rejected due to obvious loopholes you and i can see.
Do u expect the VP or COS to look for a contractor for a contract under Ameachi's ministry ? It isnt done that way. He should have brought a more convincing proposal or let other competent company bid for that job if truly he is working for the people and not his pocket

What nonsense are you even saying? Do you understand the gravity of what you are saying? They should approve almost 4bn to a company that hasn't even seen turnover of 100m? A company that does not have a record of carrying out such business? A company with father, mother and son as directors? If you are to manage a person's business, is this how you will go about it? Or you can't identify fraud when you see one?
