Tinubu is the strongest candidate and has the local and international backing, so can't write him off as of yet. Even though it looks like the current northern power bloc doesn't favour him.

APC flag bearer is not going to emerge through consensus, that is a fact, if anyone is banking on one eye consensus, that person better go and start acting comedy. APC is party with major different stakeholders with individual group have sizable representation that could make or mar the election.

Even the candidate of the president would have to go and slug it out at the primary

Where do you get these Beer Parlour gists? Tinubu has the backing of TANKO YANKASSAI, Ganduje, Masari, Emir of Katsina, Governor of Niger, Sen Wamako, The entire Kano Assembly, House of Rep's caucus and many more so, which Northern bloc are you referring to? Those names above are the men who control votes so forget whatever any other person says.. The North is ready to reward him.
