charlesemeka85:In my opinion nigeria can boast of 6-10 quality forwards but not all can play at a time, infact not all can even be called up. Besides every coach has their prefered forwards for their tactics but local coaches will call of all them because fans are shouting but when they come they cant offer anything coz they dont fit in that tactic.... A no nonsense foreign coach will handle such situations. 1 Like 1 Share |

Who is even the best crosser of the ball in GWG? Like when in GWG shirt. It's only Aina. The last best crosser is VicMo. How many years away from GWG and a replacement can't even surface? And AE was playing 442 Asif he had 4 Barnes/TAA on the Pitch?? |

Firstly it's Amunike or Amuneke NOT Aminuke. And you, what did you learn? What tactical solution did you profer to our persisting Midfield problem?? Point me to just one. Amunike pops up because he has the tactical acumen to address our tactical deficiencies as a team but how would you know that when you were also among those who stood by the idiotic and myopic stance of "If it ain't broken, don't fix it" when I pointed out that our MF problem persisted even after our 1-0 win over Egypt. Abeg... if you don't have a substantive discussion to make, no dey hide under cheap and empty statements like "una no dey learn" backed by nothing but vibes and inshallah. andrewbaba44: 2 Likes 2 Shares |

This Amuneke talk no dey Taya you. 2023, 2025, 26.... And we want to repeat mistake again? He was good at Cadet level. We all know it's not the same as Senior level, even if he knows 900% of the boys from that year. We need someone to come instill a system and plug up this setpieces deficiency, and have great knowledge of how to use subs to make or mar a game. When was the last time we had a sub coming on to do a miracle in all Competition in last few years? 6 Likes 1 Share |

TheSuperNerd:Unless you're saying AE put hot loafs in his throat throughout their bromance with this team, then I can't take it as you say it. I don't want to believe he was stifled from expressing this acumen in the games they handled together. Give take, benefit of doubt on this is 20-80. We don Taya. For all we know, this is just going to be another gamble. Are we ready for it? Cos if he fails we all will refer to his time with AE and talk of handwriting on ogiri. Maybe Klopp is his own Idol Sha. AE say Guardiola Asif all of us no dey watch him week in week out. With the way things are right now, I doubt his name will be in the mix for the job. 1 Like 1 Share |

TheSuperNerd:which tactical acumen are you harping about? Wasn’t he the assistant to eguavoen against Ghana? Was eguoevoens style different from what we witnessed at the afcon abi he doesn’t take advise and ideas from his assistants? It’s high time we stop this undue hype and hope he gets a job in the local league or outside of Nigeria to prove himself |

One of Nigeria’s most prolific strikers in Europe this season has voiced his shock at not making Nigeria’s squad to the 33rd edition of the continental championships in January Super Eagles forward Cyriel Kolawole Dessers has confessed his disappointment at missing the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon early this year. Since making his debut for Nigeria under German gaffer Gernot Rohr, Dessers has made only an 18-minute appearance for the two-time African champions. With Napoli’s Victor Osimhen the Super Eagles’ undisputed number nine when fit, Dessers was always going to have a difficult time getting a run of games for the 2013 Afcon kings. Mozzart Still, the Belgian-born striker, too hot to handle for defenders at the time, retained hopes of at least making the Nigerian squad to the continental showpiece in January. Mainly deployed from the bench, Dessers smashed in six goals for Feyenoord between November and December to place himself in the consciousness of the national team handlers. One of those goals was the winner in the 2-1 away defeat of Taiwo Awoniyi’s Union Berlin in the Europa Conference League. But despite the injury-enforced absence of Paul Onuachu and the withdrawal of Emmanuel Dennis, Odion Ighalo, and Osimhen, then-interim boss Augustine Eguavoen found no space for Dessers on the final 28-man roster to the Afcon. Eguavoen instead preferred the quartet of Almeria’s Umar Sadiq, Leicester’s Kelechi Iheanacho, Olympiacos’ Henry Onyekuru, and Union’s Awoniyi. Nigeria failed to make it beyond the first knockout phase of the competition. And Dessers has confessed that he could not get the thoughts of his snub out of his head as he believed he deserved an invitation for his excellent form. “That’s in my head, yes,” the 27-year-old told RTV Rijnmond, as per Feyenoordpings. “But I have to say that it did get a bit of a knock after the Africa Cup. Despite withdrawals, I did not join while I deserved it at the time. “So I was very sorry. But I will never say no to Nigeria; that seems clear to me.” Dessers was again not called up for the final double-header World Cup playoffs against Ghana. The Super Eagles failed to score from open play in Kumasi and Abuja as the Black Stars qualified for Qatar 2022 on the away-goal rule. The Nigeria Football Federation has since relieved Eguavoen of his role as the Super Eagles head coach. 1 Like |

charlesemeka85: I have inserted the key word you missed out because obviously I can see it is only the fact that the coach must be foreign that matters to you. His quality doesn't bother you at all. Be like say you will also settle for another European journeyman. I am just for the best tactical hands and mind to bring us out of this quagmire and Amunike is definitely up there among my choices bcoz he has it. Amunike just finished a technical duty as a part of CAF Technical study group at Afcon2021. This is a follow up on his being a part of the fifa technical study group at Russia 2018. So the man has been busy indeed. And you sound as if qualifying Tanzania to their first Afcon in 39 yrs isn't something. Amnesia works overtime whenever you guys wanna act oblivious to some facts. In the end, it is about us hiring the best hands and minds. Be it Amunike, be it Ndubuisi Egbo or be it a quality European. I just don't want a Journeyman with no real technical brain like we had with Rohr. Cheers. 1 Like 1 Share

Odunayaw: I dare you to show me a place where I ever said that Iheanacho isn't a 9. If you're actually as observant as you think you are, you would have remembered where I explicitly stated that there are different kinds of Centre Forwards and that Iheanacho happens to be a rare kind. Next time know who you quote before rushing to quote the person. You're the second person to misquote me on this thread and you've done it twice. Now who's the one who needs to stay one place? |

TheSuperNerd:Abeg make we complete this sentence properly. It's why I kept using the Buhari/Osinbajo parallel since that loss and I'll use it again. You guys includes You Point of corrections Dinosaurs yes!!! And that includes EA!!! Don't minus his name abeg. He too na Dinosaur. He was there throughout every piece of tactical deliberation, unlike Osinbajo that was allegedly locked out on some occasions. So while 'we' took a gamble with AE, it's you that want to take a shadow gamble with EA. Dinosaurs abeg!! Let's leave it that way. That crew had nothing noteworthy on their CV. 2 Likes 1 Share |

He has proved himself outside Nigeria already. As Tanzania's coach. Amnesia is really contiguous with you. And the fact he was assistant now meant he led the team?? Do you actually think it is impossible for Eguavoen to have this guy and still stick to his 94 archive-inspired dinosaur football?? Watching the team play immediately reveals who coached the team and it screamed EGUAVOEN all through. Zero tactics. Zero intelligence. All Egu. An Amunike that confounded Fifa tactical experts is who you ask about tactical acumen?? Lol charlesemeka85: 1 Like 1 Share |

leathalbeast:also you forgot to add that nigeria local coaches are easily to be influenced by the football house when it comes to player call up as well as easy to bribe by agents and politicians in the same football house to call up underserved players at the expense of better players Tactically they are poor and refuse to enhance their knowledge by going for courses to enhance their tactics with what is obtainable in modern football We all say eguavoen playing a 442 formation that caused the team at the afcon and he still continued with the same formation against Ghana away in Kumasi making the midfield weak and lean A coach who benched a frank Onyeka who hv been doing well brentford in the epl but preferred nwakali who struggled to get game time in the 2nd tier of Spanish football just because the latter played in his U23 team years back. Stupid sentimental and corrupt bunch we hv here as local coaches 3 Likes 1 Share |
