I also encourage other strong willed politicians with track record of good work to come out not just these old laggards. At the end of the day it will give Nigerians better options to choose from. They had NEVER done any security job as of then.

Osibanjo cancelled the idea because of the above.

No fan of amechi and his kurukere ways but fact is that no security surveillance equipment would have saved that train from dynamite and machine gun fire. Abi if the train alarts that it is being attacked, wount it still take hours for troops to mobilize and reach them to help? Or you want to station troops the length and breath of the tracks?
