Russia To See Record Capital Inflow This Year – Reports by Jonasbadoo(m): 8:52pm On Apr 04, 2022 |
Skyrocketing oil prices and falling imports are the main factors, experts say; Russia’s balance of payments surplus could hit a historic high this year, amounting to $200-$300 billion, business news outlet RBC reported on Monday. Economists polled by RBC have predicted record capital inflows into the country, despite the tightening Western sanctions. They pointed to major factors behind the inflow, such as the increase in the value of Russian energy exports, and a reduction in merchandise imports to Russia by up to 50%. “The key driver of the Russian balance of payments surplus [hydrocarbon exports] still looks confident,” the Institute of International Finance (IIF) said in its review, seen by RBC. According to a Bloomberg analysis, Russia will get an estimated $321 billion in energy exports revenue in 2022, marking a surge of more than a third compared to last year. That’s despite the huge discounts the country provides. The Russian Ministry of Finance said last week that, on average, Russian Urals oil cost over $89 per barrel in March, which is a 40% rise year-on-year. The IIF said that the number of oil tankers moored in Russian ports awaiting departure is only slightly less than in the same period in previous years. Data by TankerTrackers, a company that tracks the movement of oil tankers around the world, showed that Russia still exports about three million barrels per day of oil by sea, and those deliveries are quite transparent. https://www.rt.com/business/553281-russia-record-capital-inflow/ 2 Likes

Jonasbadoo: He said how can you make more money with less patronage, meaning you can not make more money with fewer customers. So answer the question. This is simple economics. Sanctions mean fewer customers, fewer oil shippers to transport crude because of sanctions, and less money transfers because of swift payment sanctions. And to make matters worse, Russian energy sales that the sanctions left in place is about to be sanctioned and once this is done, Russia is heading back to the stone age. |
Re: Russia To See Record Capital Inflow This Year – Reports by Jonasbadoo(m): 11:33pm On Apr 04, 2022 |
plaindealer:And how does Russia have less patronage? What's the population of Europe? You guys think the world resolves around Europe?, Even in Eu ,Slovakia has agreed to buy in rubes ,Hungary too and others.. Germany can't replace Russian gas , it's practically impossible and they are Eu most powerful country and number one economy. France too can't replace Russian gas as it's 35% of their natural gas supplies and now Russia new strategic partners China and India has 2+billion population combined... So how does this translates to low patronage? UK and Us combo combined was 11% which is insignificant.. Japan is still importing gas from Russia mind you .. And now what about the rest of Eu that's is spending 3times than they used to on Energy imports coupled with rising energy prices across Europe and even in the US 3 Likes |

plaindealer:UK and the rest of EU will head back to the Stone age faster than Russia , cause it's obvious their Economies will soon enter recession once they ban Russian Energy completely, even Germany Chancellor has refused to do that cos he knows the implications... German and French industries can't survive without Russian energy ... Make your research and know peace .. Not everyone is a western zombie 2 Likes |

Jonasbadoo: I hate going back and forth with people sewing their emotions and pointless opinions without facts. Garmany, Russia's largest customer in Europe just secured gas deal with Qatar to dump Russian gas, but you are here spewing baseless nonsense. How do you make money when your largest customers are not buying from you? What are you going to do with your oil? Drink it? UK and EU economies are well diversified and the last time I checked, oil and gas are international commodities with sellers all over world, they don't have to buy from Russia, exactly what Germany just did, they just go to another supplier, simple. Putin just lost billions and regardless of what happens at the end of this war, Europe won't go back to Russia for oil, no point basing your economic realities on a mad and unstable man.

Russian airliners can not fly because they can not secure parts for their planes and also because they are banned from Europe, their most lucrative routes so how are they going to replace the money they are definitely going to lose? Just imagine Russia the fake superpower, all their planes are Air Bus and Boeing from the West because air passengers don't trust any plane made in Russia because they are air coffins. |

plaindealer:Your comment shows the extent of your misinformation So Russian economy is not diversified? Russia exports agricultural products, precious metals, Diamond ,weapons e.t.c and of course oil, coal and gas and wine self Isn't Vodka a Russian product? So how is Russian economy oil dependent? They are the world's largest exporter of wheat and fertilizer... Do you think Russia is Nigeria? 2 Likes |

plaindealer:If only you read the story behind the screenshot you posted, you would not have publicly displayed ignorance. You would have discovered the following; 1) Qatar would sell LNG to Germany, but it would require some years to kickstart because Germany has no LNG terminal and Qatar has no pipeline running from Qatar to Germany. 2) That Russia’s big European customers are still buying from Russia until at least 2027-2030, so there is no shortage of customers for Russian gas, rather they are accumulating more customers by divesting more into the Asian markets. Now simple economics; when you begin to sell at record prices due to gas selling at an all time high and your imports are very low because most Eurocentric consumer merchandise companies who bring in their foreign finished goods pulled out, you will have a surplus in trade and a strengthening of your currency. 1 Like |
