Nigeria is a very complicated country politically.

Why Wike would think he can get votes outside Rivers State is beyond me.

There are only two camps: Those who want the presidency to go to the south because it is their turn (and rightly so), and those who want the presidency to go to Atiku (masquerading as pro-consensus or 'throw it open') because they feel he is the strongest candidate the PDP has to defeat ANY candidate the APC puts forward.

I am certain that if the PDP had a candidate as formidable as Atiku in the south, nobody would have been clamoring for the zoning to go to the north or be thrown open.

I also do not think the push for a northern candidate is because they love Atiku so much, PDP are desperate to win the election. But I think things may get a little tricky if APC picks a south east flagbearer and PDP gives it to Atiku.

If APC goes southeast and PDP does same, PDP should probably win the election. If APC goes anywhere outside south east and PDP gives it to Atiku, APC will be trashed.

APC only stands a chance if they go south east and PDP gives it to Atiku.

Thanks for this brilliant analysis

Pile of Trash, Apc give south east ticket on what basis?

You guys overrate Atiku. He has no real political clout, just his dollars and vibes. Man has been contesting presidential election since 1992 yet his best performance came when he moved to a major party, the 2019 votes he got is real PDP votes .
without PDP Atiku cant get up to 3 millions in presidential election in any party apart from APC/PDP.

If buhari didn't have political clout in North APC wouldn't have won 2015 elections.

PDP want to win election the way APC won it in 2015 by fielding a northerner against APC southerner. But the clowns push the real northerner with politcal clout after buhari out of the party(kwankaso).

Tambuwal won his reelection by just 300 votes
APC won majority of national assembly and state assembly seats

Bala mohammed state is technically an APC state cos APC won all the 3 senatorial seats, 90% of house of reps seats, and majority in bauchi state assembly.

Saraki lost his owns seat and political structure in kwara. Pdp lost from top to bottom.

This re the clowns pdp is depending on to win North in 2023cheesycheesycheesy

All the 150,000 votes that your south east will return in the presidential elections will be canceled by the votes of Ekiti state. No major political party that wants to win 2023 presidency would give its ticket to south east.

Thank your Lord and saviour, Nazi Nnamdi Kanu and your Ohanaeze for that.

Well it's time to see how mature they are..

It is very eady to be mature when there are no resources to share or when therr isn't much to fight for.

Now it is time to fight for Presidential ticket, we shall ser how really mature and 'family' they are.

If APC presidential flag bearer is from south south or south east even if PDP present Atiku he will be thrashed.

Atiku hope is the delegate that he will buy plus he may present a south west candidate because he know that when Tinubu is disappointed the south west may find relief on his south west VP.

This is his last chance...he will need to spend money plus there are more northern states than Southern.

Even if he wins PDP...I see south south and South East supporting APC

You mean APC can only win if they pick a southeast candidate? that's fantabulous ,you make me laugh, you are so funny , just say APC should just hand over the seat to PDP . You're a kid political analyst, so you want Atiku in PDP to face a candidate from southeast, a walk over for Atiku any day .APC will never I mean never make such mistake .

The fact is that pdp does not have a formidable candidate in the south.

I disagree with your last sentence.

Atiku is not loved in the north, he is more like an outsider, that is why he has always lost in the north.

Tanbuwal, kwankwanso will defeat atiku when it comes down to nothern votes.

Despite the insecurity and terrorism in the north, ANY candidate anointed by buhari will get highest votes in the north, because the old man is like a God in that side, PDP will likely have an edge in s/east and s/south.

But generally i tell you that APC will win the general election (recently bye elections is an example of what to come, especially in non apc controlled states) unless about 5 governors of APC states decamp to PDP.

APC will get over 40% in States like imo, bayelsa, rivers, ebonyi etc.

If APC give its ticket to any candidate outside the tinubu's block, i see tinubu leaving with his structure, which will give pdp a upper hand and dealt a big blow to apc.
