I tried portrait mode but it didn't work.
It only worked when snapping selfie. However what I needed was having the Background Blur effect when snapping with back camera.

Do you understand? Perhaps I am missing something

I should download over 3gb worth of data again, knowing fully well that it might not solve it? Besides, the offline download I did got corrupted after the installation, so I couldnt use the file.

You are missing something.

Even RN10 PRO using the normal mode blurs out some things that are not in focus.

You can even take a human subject normal shot and you can still edit the blur by changing the focal length manually from gallery.

@atheistandproud this one needs tutorials on how to use portrait mode

Guys I'm damn tired of this miui update on my RN10 pro , I've wasted more than 10Gb trying to install the update,

After using office WiFi to download it to 100%, it said couldn't verify the source of update, I should download again... Omo this Xiaomi na overhype, common update, I don use all the network's plus WiFi, I'm beginning to regret this product, I could have just bought an iPhone all this wahala self.

Arrrggghhhhhh!!! Discovered another one again. While taking a picture, when I tap on the screen to focus on an object or person, the phone takes a shot instead of focusing on that image.

Prior to the update, my MTN 4g was really fast. I could up to 6MBs but right now, when it's on 4g, the fastest I can get is 100kb. Although, 3g is faster than the 4g. If I fix this, I'm never going to update again.

Network has nothing to do with update. MTN network fluctuations of recent is to blame.
