Hi guys, Was diagonsed of chronic gastritis caused by h.pylori in February. I have taken the eradication treatment which is some Antibiotics/PPI. 2 months after, i am still having the symptons. - Consistent weight loss (so far 16kg) - Burning in the upper abdomen and on my entire left side of the belly. - Dizziness, tiredness and the likes - indigestion/bloating. I have changed my diets. No alcohol, no spicy food, no beef etc. So i was wondering if anyone in the house ever experienced that? How did you overcome it? Pls advice. |

ritze:where were you diagnosed of chronic gastritis induced by H. pyroli? Why don’t you go back there if it is a medical hospital and your file will be re-visited so you can inform them your new complaints for follow-up? |

Ebubu:I have done that today. The Gastroentrologist appears lost to me. He did an ultrasound of my stomach told me he found nothing and everything looks good. Did not prescribe any medication either. I am so exhausted and confused. |

ritze:it is strange he did not refer you to another clinic or hospital if he could find nothing on you. I will advise you go to another general hospital or specialist hospital at least. What do you expect to gain from nairalanders? They are not doctors and even if they were, they can not clerk you and have access to your medical records or send you on tests/investigations. Please continue your search for wellness in another general hospital. Goodluck |

ritze:but you do know another person with similar experience may have a unique and different medication plan? Owing to differences in drug allergies between you two, as well as difference in ability to purchase cost of some expensive medications between you two, as well as difference in underlying ailments between you two which may make you two not to take the same medications? 1 Like |

ritze:hello sir I came across this your post a week ago although it has been long you posted it,but I believe God can use you to save my life this ailment called Gastritis about to ruin my life I have spent all my hard earnings on it but no results,your case is just the same thing as mine no difference at all,all your symptoms is the same as mine,I have lost almost 13kg since four months, endoscopy showed that I have erosive gastritis meanwhile doctor did not even know gastritis can go to this lengths they don't take Gastritis as anything meanwhile it is deadly, serious discomfort on my left side to my ribs Plz sir how do you overcome this deadly disease,I have gone to lasuth,now UCH IBADAN till now I have not seen solution,plz sir save my life because I know God has taken control of yours,plz I am looking forward to see your message,I have taken all sorts of antibiotics,ppi and herbal remedy no changes,this is my number 09098708151. |

Still looking for solution to this.. My experience, don't take those antibiotics prescribed by doctor. To my knowledge they have little understanding of how to treat this... I am going local, still have no solution yet but I can tell you antibiotics doesn't work. |

Fellas, I didn't look this up until now. Firstly, I saw a Traditional Chinese medicine practitioner who help me with some special homeopathic supplement. Above all, lifestyle changes. No alcohol No spicy food No carbonated drink Gluten free Healthy fat only Chicken breast etc I'm in a very good place. Added 10kg back and controlling myself not to add more. Best of luck in navigating this shit. It was really tough, even the chief gastroenterologist, a professor, was so confused. 1 Like |

reciprocal:I stopped taking fizzy drinks like Teem lemon soda, Juice, etc. I deworm every 3 months, stretching helped too. But my biggest win was stop Teem lemon soda, I noticed anytime I took it, I always feel bloated the next day. Chewing 2 cloves every morning helps too. |
