And if we have no need for further evolution as finished products (humans), why haven't more unfinished products (apes) evolved ever since?

Evolution is adaptation on a larger scale ,aids survival ,not to make us happy or comfortable , life is harsh , evolution is too . there has been no evidence of intergalactic travels,in terms of wit and strength, the dinosaurs are still stronger than us and so is the other species that came before us.

So you say that explosion of stars leads to the creation of the debris, which simply means that for something to take up a different form or change form there has to be a process called creation.

For simpler organisms like bacteria, you can observe these changes by evolution through careful study.
