Turkey is not joining any EU cos they are Muslims and are not European, simple. Don't let NATO membership deceive you, which is simply a matter of military convenience. Turkey has been begging to join EU for 30 years. Soviet era countries that left Russia's orbit in 1990 were already in EU within 14 years. Let's not forget Cyprus affair with Greece.
