What is the most foolish or weirdest thing you have ever done because of Religion?

Then I don't need your saving because the only saving I need is from the same people with the same skin colour as him.

Telling a group of worshippers in a church that Jesus is coming back. I still remember the weird look the group organiser gave me like are you joking or what. Now I understand why, after discovering that the 2nd coming is FAKE and was just a creation of the Roman empire.

ii. In the Lake of Fire of Pain and Hot Lamentation.

E don tey small. I live around Ikotun, by the way. There is this church on the street I used to live then (just 2 blocks away.)
Me I like cats, especially those multicoloured ones. So I have like four (A mother cat and her 3 grown up babies.)
That particular evening (can't remember what day of the week it was again,) I think maybe a meeting or fellowship was going on in the church. Or perhaps a prayer meeting. One of my cats strayed into the church. What attracted my attention (cos I was relaxing outside) was the sudden outburst of prayer from the church. They were binding and casting... Calling on fire from heaven to come burn the daemon that came into their midst.
I saw some people looking towards the church kind of funny, so out of curiosity, me sef waka go there. Lo and behold, one of my cats was standing at the entrance to the church, and being very used to playing amongst people, was watching them with interest as they were pointing their Bible towards it and casting and binding.
I just smiled, walked to their entrance and picked up my cat. I said "Sorry. My cat."
Till date, I still remember the looks on their faces. Mumu plenty for this Nigeria.

Honestly, me and my folks still laugh over this till date...

1. I don't ever give a Kobo to a lady I have not had sex with. No lady deserves such kindness. Doubt this and regret it later.

2. I don't ever borrow (lend) money to any lady. They will never ever pay you back. Don't even give it a thought. If she asks me to borrow her money. I give her a little I can afford from that amount and ask her not to pay back. Only a foolish man borrows money to a lady. Don't ever dare it.

1. Sacrificing my breakfast for life: I completely stopped eating anything before 12noon as a special sacrifice to God. It lasted for some time (maybe even years). But eventually I had to resume eating breakfast again. I couldn't cope. It's like I regained my senses back. Initially, I limited the breakfast sacrifice to only on Sundays. But after sometime, even Sundays was taken off the breakfast sacrifice schedule. Now I eat breakfast freely everyday having learned my lesson that when the pastor asks for you to give a special sacrifice, it's not your breakfast for life he is talking about.

2. Giving away my first alawi during NYSC service year: I gave away my entire first salary at the NYSC orientation camp. They call it capitation back then in NCCF (Nigerian Christian Corpers' Fellowship). I eventually ran low on funds and had to contact my mother at home to send money urgently because I didn't even have enough to travel back home. Fortunately, my mother sent money to me by Western Union back then. Now, looking back I can't say whether sacrificing my entire first salary was a wise move or not. God knows. But I don't think I have learnt my lesson about giving away my entire first salary away as first fruits because I still do it when I get a new job.
