Which City In Nigeria Now Can One Raise Decent Kids? by christejames(m): 6:59pm On Apr 18, 2022 |
From the unprintable stories that have now become a recurring motif in our daily lives in Nigeria, it seems the societal value which we ones cherished as a nation is gradually being eroded. You can't lock your kids in your home to isolate them because in a way they will still find out how to explore their fantasies. Is it a thing of the society? or is it a thing of the city or place of residence? Is it peer pressure? Some will say it has to do with area of residence nay city, but to some Nigerian cities are the same regardless, to others, each cities have their distinct values which they so cherish. So, to you, can you name that city in Nigeria that you think is good to raise a decent family that the society will be proud of? Give convincing reasons why you think the city is the best to raise a home. |

All small towns and villages where every residents are known to each other always raise good kids. And that is the case the world over. Big cities always evolve their own ethos and loose values no matter the culture of the area. Ẹ.g Lagos 2 Likes |

So you mean that Calabar people are not decent people? This is very absurd if that's what you are directly or indirectly trying to portray here. Ebubu: 2 Likes |

Ile-ife is very very good. Oshogbo too. The society is very conservative, religious too (Christian, Muslim or otherwise). Many people are old, and instill good old fashioned discipline. The schools are good, most people are staff of the university or related business, exposure to academics brings light 1 Like |

Ebubu:Really? I was raised in Lagos and I have to say I turned out more decent than a lot of folks who I know were raised elsewhere, and I mean intellectually, socially, emotionally, even when it comes to handling adversity. So, how can you state that those raised in Abakaliki, Ebonyi state turn out better? What are the measures you applied in reaching this conclusion of yours? |
