I expected the backlash coz we are too sentimental . In reality pegging the form at 100m is more realistic, publishing it is more democratic. And it sieves out the un serious candidates . If a presidential candidate can't do a fund raiser or gather 100m what makes you think they can deliver or won't take the position as a poverty alleviation scheme. A man who's name can't fetch 100m shouldn't be considered fit for the presidency.

What you are saying is that people eyeing govt positions should know that it's costly so they should buy with high cost.
