Calmly read and understand my post.

I just said it's Peacemaker I was mixing with Euphoria.

I easily thought it's Euphoria cos that was the latest series I took time reviewing and remembered people complaining on the plot and lack of focus on a central theme.

I knew you were very vocal about a particular show's plot (not Arcane). I just mistook it for Euphoria.
okay then...
I understand you were mistaken...

Also kindly answer my question on Black Lagoon...

What question? undecided
I asked if you supported Kaycee7 that Black Lagoon was over AOT...

the movie is Knives Out ...
And I remember dropping a review after I watched it like 2 years ago...
Someone asked me to bring out the flaws ...
I couldn't find my post from 2 years ago...and I couldn't waste my time rewatching... exactly what I told the guy...

Yep, this is the movie.

It's convenient for you since you couldn't list points. grin

Nope. I haven't watched Black Lagoon.
I didn't join the argument that night cos I haven't watched the other. Yea, I also stayed up through the night till you people argued all night long till midnight.

No reviewer drops a full review 2 years after watching a movie...
Asking for that is a waste of time...
Check any blog or post...to drop full review you must watch or rewatch a movie recently...

If I say Venom was bad...you can't expect me to go into core details when I watched 2 years ago...
But if I watch a movie days ago...then I can drop full review although I won't write an article...

okay...can you write a review on Avengers 1?
Can you write a solid review without rewatching?

I watch loads of movies, series and anime...
I can only give detailed review after I finish watching...

If the movie isn't even worth remembering I can't remember much, only my general opinion on it...

I watch reviewers on YouTube sef...to drop full review they have to rewatch the movie if they watched it years ago...
But along the line during discussions, they give passing comments like: "this movie was bad...terrible etc"
Why not ask them to give full reasons?

I ask again...can you drop full review of all the movies you watched 2 years ago?

So I'm almost midway in season 4 of The Last Kingdom

So far it's been a very enjoyable watch...my major complaints here is the plot convenience...it's way too much especially in these recent seasons that it's getting on my nerve

The so called Danes are portrayed as a bunch of idiots, they don't even seem terrifying at all anymore like they did in the first season...they can't even win a single battle...
All they do is fall for obvious and cheap tricks...I wonder how they keep following commanders who are so incompetent and stupid...who seem to make the worst decisions and fall for the most obvious traps...
The one I can't forgive is the one in season 2 or so that chose to betray his brother, all his people, abandon an entire country's worth of wealth just cos of a woman he met for a few weeks
The girl who claimed she was also in love with him literally forgot him few minutes after his death...wow

The series is really interesting but the decision making is becoming worse by the episode...

This is a movie thread not series. You've already dropped this same comment on the series thread na.
Let's be mindful of the difference biko. It can be annoying at times when you find yourself reading same things over and over again. Bikonu...Ejooo...please

whenever you're ready, we can bring up the peacemaker argument so you'll tell me the plot...

And make sure you don't mention things I mentioned regarding the characters as plot...

The plot is a set of hurdles that stand in the protagonist's way of achieving their goal. When obstacles control the story's trajectory, it's called a plot-driven narrative. For instance, when the protagonist is coerced into eliminating a string of targets (obstacles), and they comply (objective), it's plot driven.

When a character's habitual actions control the story's trajectory, it's called a character-driven narrative. If your protagonist is lethargic and is given the assignment of killing a string of targets but refuses, and his pet eagle is slaughtered as a result, he will have to face the consequences of his inaction by addressing his part in his pet's death. That is a character-driven story.

Which of the two scenarios do you recognise? Therein lies the answer.

What happened to the remaining 0.1% ??

For me this movie is 10/10 and firmly in my Top 10 of all time...

I see Eddie & Martin's LIFE (1999) like something based on that story also

No vex bro. It truly deserves a perfect 10/10.

You're talking about Plot driven story or plot driven method of writing and comparing it to character driven method of writing...

But you fail to even understand anything I wrote up there...if you did you wouldn't type all these as they aren't exactly relevant to anything I said

Now first answer this...what do you call movies that are purely comedy? Where do you put them?

Because so far we haven't contradicted each other...you just don't understand....

Different movies have their focus...that is fact...this is not the same as plot driven or character driven writing ...
Here I'm talking about the focus of a movie or it's selling point

Some movies are known for its complex plot, some for its complex characters, some for its comedy, some for its satire, some for its action and fights...

Do you understand now? That's why I asked you that question above...you're saying something totally different from what I typed...
Now that you understand, can you now reply and show me the complex plot that Peacemaker has?

I can on some.

The problem with people asking you to drop solid reasons is with your vocal opinion about the movie.
The passion with which you were condemning it, it's as if you literally remembered all what you hated about the film. You were asked to drop 3 points. There's a way you'd hate a movie that you'll definitely remember most of the reasons no matter the time.

It's different from just a passing comment.

People don't understand how I rate my movies sha...
I rate based on what I believe is the selling point or focus of it

E.g I rate Knives out based on it's plot mostly...I rate it's complex plot

I rate a comedy movie based on it's comedy or jokes
If a movie is satire focused I rate it based on it
If a movie is based on character psychology I rate it based on it
If a movie promises to tell a weird and crazy story or events, I rate based on it
Etc
Etc

And finally I also consider Enjoyment factor cos it's entertainment...I don't drop random reviews here...I consider

That is why if you sell a movie on complex plot, and I watch based on that, but the plot is wack and instead has good comedy...I will give it poor rating...cos that is not it's focus

I did not watch Jojo for plot so I will never rate based on plot why I will say Jojo has no plot (meaning it lacks complex plot)
Peacemaker wasn't sold as a movie with a complex plot also...
That is why even though I said it has no plot I gave it high rating...

Was it not you who said something to the effect of "Peacemaker isn't plot focus," or did I imagine it?

My post is succinct and to-the-point, and it explains why Peacemaker is indeed plot-driven.

I couldn't make sense of the remainder of your ramblings, but it confirmed what I already know; you're in over your head and have no idea what you're saying.

But that whole butterfly thing isn't what you'll call a solid plot...
People don't watch peacemaker for any solid plot ..
I've never seen anyone say Peacemaker has a wonderful plot or praise it...

Just like me... people praise Peacemaker but not for it's plot cos that isn't the focus...that isn't the selling point

Peacemaker had a coherent plot and followed it while still making things interesting with subplots throughout...that's why you enjoyed it and many other people too.

Saying a movie follows a plot driven writing is not the same as saying the focus of the movie is on plot ..
A comedy movie can also follow a plot driven writing...
A movie that is basically 99% action will probably also follow same...

There's this actiom movie I'm trying to remember...99% of the movie is just fight...and yet it follows a plot driven writing...

But is the complex plot a focus of the movie?
